You literally only post Angel Reese flameboy posts. Everyone else is trying to have discussion about basketball and you’re trying to convince everyone Angel Reese is something she’s not.

A good person.

I shared that article because it was national news when I opened my news app this morning. Wanna know how many times I’ve seen Angel show up in national print media?


Everytime she mentioned Caitlin Clark. Which is why she still does it.

I’m actually pretty certain Clark has never even said Angels name out loud. Like ever. That has to eat at Angel. She’s obsessed and Clark could care less.

Caitlin has complimented Angel before, she’s definitely said her name. Fox News has also definitely covered Angel Reese as well, it’s just usually negative because their readers love Caitlin Clark but generally hate Reese and the WNBA at large

So far as I can recall she has never said her name. Which is what I said. She gets asked about her all the time because Reese brings her up. She pretty much always says the PC thing like “she’s a great player.” Or something along those lines, you can tell she just isn’t going to go there.

The few times she has been forced to mention her she always tries to keep it positive or bring it back to basketball.

Reese goes out of her way to bring Clark up in a negative light and to cast herself as some sort of victim.

You know who lives rent free? The fans, on both sides. Especially the super fans with an agenda on both sides. And of course the media making sure that rent never comes due on either side bc it's profitable.

Know who doesn't live rent free? The players. Videos yesterday showing the Sky practicing dance moves while stretching. Some of the Sky out on a boat chilling on a blazing hot day. CC looking happy and relaxed accepting another of her umpteen thousandth awards. I'm sure the rest of the Fever was equally chill.

I think alot of us take all this far more seriously than the players. Of course they want to win and most of all they want to perform well and keep their jobs in a highly competitive market. But Sunday's game is past, it's one of thousands they've played and there's many more to come. They're professionals doing their jobs and very young people building their lives. It's collective us that are way over our skis about all this.

To the extent Reese is pushing back against those people, I agree with her. I don’t remember her going out of her way to take shots at Clark personally.

I’m a womens basketball fan in general, but I will admit I have been enamored by Clark. Her style of play is just not something before seen in the women's game.

Her passing ability is really what draws me in, she makes some insane passes that just put the crowd on a string. Really is like Pete Maravich in that way. Or John Stockton (but I think she may have even better vision than Stockton at this point in their careers.)

There are no women’s players to compare her to. Susie McConnell Serio was a great passer but didn’t have the all around game. Same with Ticha Penachiro, she could razzle dazzle the crowd with the pass as well.

Great post. Exactly this. Several things can be true at once, and are. Both have been pretty positive personally toward ea other and have said repeatedly the media and fans make a bigger deal out of the rivalry than they actually do. But fans just have more fun turning things into a "beef". Gets nasty when the beef goes rancid from racism though.

Meanwhile the Commish Cup final tonight is Liberty vs Lynx. Really hope the Lynx can pull it off, would be a huge win for them. But the Lib is rolling, at least rolling over the hapless Sparks last weekend. And that was wo Van der Sloot and Laney. Should be a really good game.

Man I saw that! Weirdest thing ever! Isn't that Erica Wheeler hug-walking Angel right to the tunnel? If so, it explains alot since she's a lil different. No question, if this had been another set of players this would have been a much bigger deal.

Also in any of these conversations about whose better we have to remember how early in the season it still is. I know All Star voting is coming up now to be ready for mid season, but for ROY, POTY, etc they're only about a third of the way thru the season.

The schedule is so crazy and compacted that every rookie has a stretch that's an insane gaunlet where they're likely to hit a wall. For CC it was the first part of the season. No surprise she got better when their sched eased up. Rickea just finished her gaunlet, so no surprise she's spinning her wheels. Sparks had 9 games in 18 days, two weeks on the road in 5 cities. Played 3 of the top 4 teams on the trip. And lost Cam in the middle of it. I don't think Angel's team has hit their monster stretch yet but it's coming I'm sure.

So alot is still to be decided about whose the best anything in the W. We'll see how it plays out.

I think Erica just wanted to show Angel how much she had improved her waltzing skills and there was a brief discussion about who should take the lead. In the end, Angel said she is more of a Salsa girl and Eric went up the court looking for a new dance partner.

I’m actually glad Reese didn’t try to push her off, otherwise people would be bashing her because of it. As for the best rookie they have their own strengths between them. But Reese should t even be in the conversation because she’s the 7th pick amd not the 1st pick. I just want her to continue to be the underdog like she’s always been, and in the end win a Championship like she’s always done.

It’s a safe place at a university she won a NC at. Not sure the media is to cover local autograph sessions. Seems it was well documented by phones and social media. That’s free press. So Champions are respected, that’s all I e been saying all along. Champions are the ones that are immortalized in their sport.
