With Fischer and Peebles still nursing injuries, we might see Levi Clark at 1B, Dalton Bargo at 3B, and Stone Lawless at C with Peebles at DH on opening day.

I kinda hope he goes with Marin or Newstrom at 3B, just so we can see the freshmen.

Chris Newstrom has come on strong. Lots of options for the stud freshmen including Abernathy, Newstrom, Marin, and Clark. Add Kuhns to the freshmen impact players as he looks like a weekend starter. You’d be hard pressed to find a team with 5 freshmen to rival these studs.

I have a feeling that Newstrom is going to end up as the starting RF in May, and Marin will be the starting 3B 2 of the 3 games this weekend. I don’t trust Chapman or Backus against SEC pitching. When it’s all said and done, I think we’ll go into regionals looking like this….

Runner up to Fischer is the most recent HR Derby was Brayden Sharp. Sharp is a R-Fr as he was injured most of last year, but looks healthy and is TN’s only 2-way player. He could surprise folks out of the bullpen and in the OF. He’s flown under the radar but has tons of potential.

Still no official roster for UT yet. Assume it will come out by 3pm tomorrow. I feel for those players (and their families) hearing they didn't make the 40-man roster. TN will likely have the youngest lineup (most freshmen and sophomores in the SEC).

I bet some of the spots came down to the wire. I’m assuming by now, they all know who is on the active vs being redshirted. IIRC, 34 scholarships but roster is capped at 40. I’m not sure if that means partial scholarships for the 6 who are being redshirted. Next year, rosters go down to 34

Never know with Tony. My guess would be 15-20 mins before first pitch. Thats around when the lineup came out before first pitch last year.
