2025 Recruiting

Some things just speak for themselves. The talent currently in Knoxville is as good as any SEC team. The transfer portal has changed the landscape of collegiate sports. Make no mistake though what Coach Caldwell, Coach Lazo, and Coach Tubner are about to mold with high school recruiting is going to be elite. A flashback to Kaniya Boyd as a sophomore and Mia Pauldo as a freshman highlighting for years their dominance on the AAU circuit. If Mia and Kaniya have been making these kind of lists since being underclassmen, what that makes them? One word, elite! GBO!

Love to get two of these players still need to find a center hopefully the portal or foreign player.

Huge weekend. I know anything less than sealing the deal is no better than what the previous staff did; however, I have to say I didn't quite expect us to be in on a top 10 recruit this late in the game. If CKC lands Grace Knox before coaching a game in the P5 ranks, prepare to be sick of me!

If she doesn't, she deserves some grace *this* recruiting cycle.

Agree completely, just getting this weekend to happen is huge for the new staff. I 🤞 believe they're going to end up signing at least one of these, hopefully Knox or Prawl, and Hurst. If not I agree again they get some grace just for getting them here. It just can't be an endless loop of close but no cigar as with the previous staff.

Agreed.

I also wouldn’t mind Jaida Civil. She has one of the highest ceilings in this class. Also…. she was offered by Dawn and Kim Mulkey, so she’s an elite recruit :)

Has anything changed with Hurst wanting to play both volleyball and basketball? I read she wasn't offered by Tennessee volleyball, which would suggest she won't land here (if she still wants to try to do both).
Don’t see how she could play both at this level. Too much overlap of seasons. God Bless her if she manages to pull that off, here or anywhere. She may s as Leo also decide she’d rather pursue volleyball.

Auto correct … smdh.

Back in the day, Tanya Haave played for Pat and on the volleyball team.

1984. Back in the day is right. Checked her wiki page and she was an all American in basketball. Couldn’t find anything regarding her volleyball career at UT other than her roster slot.
