Only played against Rutgers and Seton Hall.
8/11 against Seton Hall, shooting 16.7%
4/2 against Rutgers.
I'm not sure if he has family this way other than ZZ. ZZ's Mom lives here but I think both his parents are still in New York.Just a Sophomore though. Against Rutgers he only took 3 shots and also fouled out.
Seaton Hall was the first game of the season just his 11th start too. Had a rough night though 1 of 6 and most his points came at the FT line. But lead the team in rebounding.
I'd take him, but I also think he's going to try and cut his own path...wouldn't be surprised to see him closer to Knoxville though since the family all lives this way.
At best. If he's cool with not having a role right away and being developed , ok I guess, but can't afford to just give a roster spot away. It's another thing if they swing and miss on some in the portal and then bring him in, but lots of guys have been listed here should be bigger priorities. JMO.If we took him, he’d probably be a Cameron Carr in the rotation at best.
not guys from UT.. unless you mean insane in the other direction.. they are still mad we won that case.Obviously all plans are that this is ZZ’s final year and the possibility of it also being Barnes final year would cement him being gone, but is there any route to him actually getting a fifth year? I know he had the injury in the last couple weeks of the regular season in 2023, so he played almost all of that season. That said, there’s been some insane decisions from the NCAA in giving guys extended eligibility. Is there any plans at all for them to petition for a fifth year or is ZZ/UT pretty much resigned to this being the final go for him?
The key is to not HAVE to get a starting big or several scorers IMO. There's only so many bigs that can contribute right away and that heavily inflates their priceI thought the marks would eventually settle, but the fact that rates are only going up is annoying. Field of 68 was discussing how Great Osobor got $2 million last cycle to transfer from Utah State to Washington. Unreal waste of money.
