2025 Transfer Portal

Does Destiny have any eligibility left? I think Favor is done as well. If so, that kind of points to Strickland perhaps rejoining Kellie. I would be surprised if Wynn transferred but she is a Kellie recruit and might see herself as having a bigger at Missouri.
Went through graduation ceremonies which means she is done here. Some say she has a year of eligibility left so I hope she gets to play. She still looks a little hobbled to me in her movement.

Not yet, curious to see who she can pickup. Pingeton had no luck with the portal at Missouri. Took several girls the first year of the portal but none panned out really and most transferred again the next year. She’s always relied on recruiting the best player off of smaller 2A/3A teams there in the mid-west and mid-south.
Saw a story somewhere she was trying to get several mid-major players that had good years with those teams. Think one was Missouri State. I have to try and look that up again. Most of them had good stats, but SEC usually makes those stats go downward.

So why are we the team that can be priced out of All-Americans, other teams can have 2 such players but we can’t pay 1?
Maybe they are like Latson asking for football like money. Maybe they don't like the system like you said. Looks like Todd might be a keeper have to wait and see, She is not the quality overall game of the other two, but if she can repeat that 46 percent from the three will be a good player for us.

I think she would have to make a hardship appeal, She had two seasons when she transferred to TN and she tore her ACL after 10 games which I believe would have burned that first year.

But, the NCAA seems pretty generous these days about granting hardship exemptions so maybe...

Haven't counted her in the total since the season ended still just two scholarships. I have to believe it is one of the others moving that to three. I don't know that, but probably what needs to happen. I have no problem with any players at the end of the bench that want to stay if they know they are only playing except when were 25 ahead in the fourth quarter. We have a couple like that maybe three that won't play much next season. None of them can beat out the freshmen to get in the rotation and if T'yanna Todd commits here just another seat downward they all go.

Wells went through senior graduation here this year. She won't play here and would think she is not the player that is being counted as leaving.
I’ve seen other players go through senior day and still come back if eligible, we just need to wait and see who transfers out.

They have to be wanted back though like Fulkerson was asked to comeback and he accepted. With the scholarship crunch I don't see her coming back to Tennessee. The obligation is complete unless you are accepted back.

I still think other quality players will enter, if only she let players stay on the court longer, they’re young and they can play longer than a minute, if that’s the case we wouldn’t be limited in certain players interest.

Will she not come back because of her choice or will she be pushed out by the coach, the same thing people on here said about Kenny Brooks?

They stay longer later in the game. First two quarters she is going to sub every couple of minutes. Fourth quarter you play the last five or six sometimes. Minutes will be 25 to 27 for the top players about five of them 18 for a couple and 15 or so for the other three.

Not pushed out if you graduate on a four year scholarship deal which she has completed. Being pushed out would be if she asked Ace or Edie to leave both with a Senior year left. Rowe was a junior this season she has a year of scholarship eligibilty left.

Ta’Niya Latson and Serah Williams both named Tennessee as schools showing interest that they have been in contact with so what am I missing? Why would a team like Tennessee that will have 5 McDonald’s All-Americans on the roster this upcoming season have to prove a thing to fans by throwing unnecessary NIL money to sign players?
Make it make sense. You all want people to take you serious by spreading fake news that Tennessee coming off one of the best seasons in the past decade beating a FF team, S16 team, and multiple NCAA tourney teams isn’t drawing interest from top portal transfers because of a system that was the talk of the WBB season is a fantasy.
I mean to each its own.
In the meantime, I’m not for trashing players image even if they come to Tennessee or not.. so here’s the facts on T’yana Todd from social media pages with credibility..

@DarkPhoenix they’re referring to you in this post!

But how do you know we have limited player interest due to this system?

One player nobody is mentioning might transfer is Boyd. I love her but she probably has the most to gain transferring. She’s not the best three point shooter and we have 4 young guards coming in plus whoever we pick-up in the portal.

I could see her choosing to leave for a program that suits her style a bit better. Would hate to see her go though, she’s a great defender and always brings the energy.

I’m saying certain players won’t play in the system, as an example is Olivia Miles, she wants to be the primary ball handler for the team and wants to prove she can run a team, I couldn’t see her coming here to be subbed out every minute. Not saying we can’t get good players, but some just won’t want to do that.

I would like to know if that ruling of only 15 players walk ons or whatever is in effect if a player came here as a walkon two years ago. Seems quite unfair that you would have to count them now if they have always been a walkon. Safe to say the walkon days are over. Still making a team count a walkon in their 15 seems totally unfair when it happened years before the ruling.

Johnnie Harris to join Baylor staff as associate head coach. Much better role for her imo.

Makes sense Scott went there now if her coach is going. Surprising though, I thought maybe they weren’t getting along. Scott is either made of glass or just doesn’t have the ability to push through adversity well. Not a player I’d want at all.

I see it differently. Boyd has the least incentive to transfer. She learned the system as a freshman and has 3 more years to play it. Kim has called her "the future of the program" on multiple occasions over this past season. Boyd is a dog and all LV! Just my two cents.

If the walk on is good enough they can get a scholarship.

I have had the very same sad thought.
