CJH needs to stay ahead of Florida. Gotta win that game and break the Swamp drought. 10-2 hopefully.

Agreed mostly but I wouldn’t count Florida as an L just yet.

I agree, some, if not a lot of those guys could leave since Napier is ass. My reservations for the W is because if they do return most of those starters, they will be tough. (They look really young from the depth chart)

Why the Florida loss - they’re trending in the wrong direction

Milton 1st year really taking over

In the swamp

They are really young from the depth chart i've seen, but if they lose a lot of guys to the portal this off season I'll change it to a W
I wouldn’t say Milton is a first year starter. He has played a lot for a back up.

Not in the 1990s or early 2000s. It was pretty even spread until around 2008 or so when Saban came to Alabama. Honestly, College Football was more exciting then as well.
He runs a semi pro team. They had their pick of recruits for a long time. Now he's got the portal and NIL to deal with and you heard him whine about it. I knew right then it would be good for everyone else if tricky Nicky was that vocal.

Probably because when was the last time we actually beat them back to back years? People need to see things to believe. I don’t blame him for not feeling great about it. Milton is still unproven as a starter and Nico will be a true freshman

I wonder how many spots we are saving for transfers
Not positive how many spots open up due to people running out of eligibility, deciding to go pro, or being encouraged to transfer, but if asked to guess, I'd guess around 30. So if we take a class of say, 23, we'd only have 7 spots for transfers. But again, that's just a guess. It all depends on who we encourage to come back, and who we don't.

With our current trajectory there is no telling how many quality players PEOPLE at inferior programs or with bad fits have been in contact with our PEOPLE. Still think in the current situation with no new counter limit, NIL or alternate sources of money may try to incentivize players to transfer or otherwise vacate a counter spot. That would not be illegal in any way would it? If I could get cost neutral, get my degree and not have to show up for practice and scout squad service it might tempt me. Make them analyst interns. The upside POTENTIAL for the program is pretty obvious and seems like a good use of funds.

Nobody is paying dudes precious NIL money to go away. I think that’s what you’re saying? If not, disregard this

10-2 would be an absolute miracle next year with the amount of production we have leaving this season. 8-4/9-3 is the most likely scenario next season
It wouldn't be a "miracle". The simple truth is we have no idea what next year's team will even look like yet, and we won't until sometime after the season. There will be lots of roster change. And we have no idea how well Milton will play at QB as the full-time starter. Just too many unknowns right now to make a prediction.

The one thing to keep in mind about next year, Florida and Bama will be road games, and Georgia will have to come into Neyland.
