DJ just isn't nearly as good as his predecessors. Clemson has benefitted from having two of the best college QBs in history back to back.

Both Lawrence and Watson overcame rosters that were no where near as talented as Ohio State, Alabama, and some of the top SEC schools.

I hope other teams supplant Clemson in the upcoming years...maybe they will lose a few conference games this season

So, making it and playing for it qualifies you to be some sort of God? Nah it doesn’t. You win it all or the seasons a waste. Period. Winning the SEC Title isn’t winning it all neither.

They might lose 1 in conference but I doubt it.

Ehhh..that is a bit far to me. Kirby is a much better recruiter and much more competitive against top tier teams. Richt would always beat the easy teams and never put up a challenge against the top teams. At least Kirby will put up a fight and steal some games from top 10 teams

It’s not choking when you’re playing better talent/teams. Dabo doesn’t have to face the GOAT just to get out of his own conference. He has the easiest path of any team in CFB to the playoffs every year because the gap between Clemson and ACC #2 is so massive. Dabo was the king of choking forever that’s why the moniker “Clemsoning” was coined.

From watching their offense, I don't know what they are good at or who their good skill players are. I could easily see DJ having a rough stretch and not able to keep up with another teams offense that is having a good day.

Dabo has been a HC for 12.5 years, Kirby has been one for 5. If you want to compare them then compare the first 5 years. You can’t compare what someone has accomplished with 2x the opportunity to accomplish it to someone who hasn’t had the time. If Kirby is lacking a NC in 5-7 more years then the argument will be settled.

Not the early Richt years. Literally Richt had a better record at this point in their careers and they have the same number of SEC titles at this point.

He won’t see a D anywhere near this level though. They’ll have a scare or two but at most they lose 1 in conference.
