Ok. Young men. Party. Alcohol.
E
My goodness. Loud music and a fight breaks out. Say it ain't sooo. Jesus.
It's called youth Most of us has been there.
I understand and agree but again being charged with RESISTING ARREST and apparently not obeying the officers instructions is a much more serious issue than partying and a little alcohol.
This is akin to Pearl when some say all it was is a barbecue. No it was the fact that he LIED about it, told parents and players to lie about it, and this is the SEDOND time he made these mistakes.
For Pearl, as much as I enjoyed his coaching, he has proven he lacks integrity, plain and simple.
For these kids, you are correct they are young but the lesson that there are consequences to poor decisions needs to be implemented here. Hopefully, they will learn so they will not have integrity and character issues later in life like Pearl.
For all we know, AJ smarted off and got slapped with "resisting arrest." I've seen it happen with my own eyes. We weren't there so we don't know. Doesn't sound like he pushed a cop or anything so the definition of resisting can be pretty broad. I've smarted off a few times myself when "authorities" are just being douchebags. And I get along just fine in life without being a total sheep.

I didn't know that I had another brother. We had the same parents! We don't agree, or care for each other much, but exactly. This is the exact thing my father said to me when I turned 21. It can be used for many situations as well I have found.
Resisting arrest is different than "defending a girl" even if that was what started it all off.
I'd get the whole team out, even the EE, and make them run til the puke and make them run some more. BUT...I would have these 3 sitting off to the side watching the team run. IMO that'll get the point across for the future. These kids need to know that when the police are involved they need to respect them. Another problem with kids today no respect for authority. I know teachers that have to deal with parents on a daily basis that blame them, and not their precious kids. My dad wouldn't take my word over a teachers at all. Respecting authority was without a doubt a part of my upbringing. None of this "I want to be ur friend" crap.
