Tennessee beat just reported that they did have a arrest warrant.
A warrant for a college party? Somebody needs to bust Knox Co Sheriff's Dept's heads. You know the fine organization that had a sheriff with a dui and recently shut down all of the main roads during rush hour to take an officer who was not wounded enough to require an ambulance to the hospital.
I've only been to Knoxville about 20 times to football games and such and have been confronted by Knoxville's finest on over half of those trips and was arrested my first time in Neyland stadium for doing absolutely nothing but standing in the stands looking at the field for the first time.A warrant for a college party? For all we know, AJ smarted off and got slapped with "resisting arrest." I've seen it happen with my own eyes. We weren't there so we don't know. Doesn't sound like he pushed a cop or anything so the definition of resisting can be pretty broad. I've smarted off a few times myself when "authorities" are just being douchebags. And I get along just fine in life without being a total sheep.
It was Knox County Sheriff Office
The KCSO included this description of the incident in the release:
"Just after 12 a.m. on Sunday morning, officers with the Knox County Sheriffs Office responded to Quarry Trail Apartments located at 1410 Sandstone Drive for a loud party complaint. Officers spoke with Sapp, who lives at the apartment, and he assured them that he would quieten down the party. As the officers left, someone turned the music back up and the party was again warned to be quieter. About 30 minutes later, KCSO officers were advised of a fight outside the apartment. OBrien presented officers with a fake ID, signifying that he was over 21-years-old. According to the arrest warrant, officers noted that he 'had a very strong odor of alcohol on his breath and became combative' as officers took him into custody."
O'Brien's bond was set at $1500. Johnson and Sapp's were set at $1000 each.
