3* millionaire?

Oops...in fairness, I checked Mizzou from '10 to '13. It was more like 11 greater than 3*. Still not what I would consider amazing...

I realize that you can win with well placed 3s but getting a 6.0 4* or a 5* gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that can last for days or even weeks. There is only a few things on this earth that come close.

I'll come close if we get a bunch of them signed

Never understood why people star gaze so early in the recruiting cycle. There are always ratings bumps. If I was going to star gaze, I would do it on NSD.

We should put all the star sluts on a deserted island so when night comes they can lay on their backs hold hands and get their fill.

This thread is a gift that just keeps giving. I wish I knew the OP in real life. Could always makes me feel better about my day!

This right here is the exception. Using the exception as a rule is just stupid.

And I'm saying that almost every thread about a 3* player will have one of three topics discussed: 1. he'll be bumped up to a 4* before all is said and done, 2. he's got a lot of heart and he's really smart so he'll make an impact, or 3. Chris Johnson was a 2* so this guy can do it too.

As for the not caring what happens to kids after UT, though. Well I've said my peace on that. Glad to hear that you, too, don't care about their futures.

Do you personally know these kids? Are you going to be there to pick them up when they 'fall' by not making it to the pros? Stop it with the hands across America BS already. They are getting the opportunity at an education that will allow them to be functional members of society. You ignorantly tried to suggest this was a failure. A failure to who? You? I'm sure not one kid worries about what a random guy on the message board thinks about them. You and the other kid like to argue to argue. This has been a ridiculous topic since the thread opened and has spiraled downward further into the abyss the longer this has been drawn out. Hopefully, if you guys come to any games you won't be debbie downers at the tailgates talking about how Butch should have used nationdom or crusse10's recruiting strategy.

As I said, senior starters aren't still playing football at good SEC schools in order to never play football again. They're playing to keep on playing. I want our coaches to be preparing them for that. What is so difficult to understand about that? And more importantly, why in the world is it so difficult for people to get behind that? It's literally supporting our athletes.

Verdict is still out on butch and co. Talent Evaluation but I remember these threads with Dooley too I think some are takes in case the the big fish pick somewhere else I also think the the staff will do a better job a talent development

You can continue to say it all you want. It doesn't matter. You are not inside these kids heads. So you have no idea what their wishes and desires are after college. You spoke definitively about their parents and families considering them failures for not making it into a league where only a fraction of college players ever make it. You act as if you know these families, have spoke with these families, had them share personal details about their feelings on this topic. Fact is, these are your beliefs that you are transferring onto them.

I'm sure most people support these kids regardless of what walk of life they enter when they leave Knoxville. If they make it to the NFL, great! I'm sure they will be supported. For example, I've never seen so many Denver Broncos fans in Knoxville in my life as I have the last 2 years since Peyton and other ex-Vols started wearing Donkey jerseys. But if they don't go to the NFL, it doesn't mean they are not supported. It just means most people realize there is more to life than football, and getting an education is a safer bet than playing in the NFL. And assuming a player makes it to the NFL, the average shelf life is less than 4 years, so it may be advantageous to have a back up plan. Bottom line, is you are putting words in people's mouths and arguing for the sake of arguing.

Sanddune it's not worth it. You'll get no where with this guy. As it stands now, you do not care for the players and that is that. :)
