Liberals, moderates strike deal on Biden agenda, clearing way for votes

Warring progressive and moderate House Democrats agreed to a cease fire on Friday night, clearing the way for votes on key pieces of President Biden’s stalled domestic agenda after a day of chaos and confusion on Capitol Hill.

The 11th-hour deal between the Progressive Caucus, moderate Blue Dog Democrats and Congressional Black Caucus would allow the House to pass the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package and send it to Biden’s desk, as well as pass a rule setting up a future vote on Biden’s $1.75 trillion social and climate spending package.

The three-way agreement calls for a written commitment that moderates will vote for Biden’s $1.75 trillion social and climate spending package if the Congressional Budget Office score of the bill is in line with White House estimates. The statement would be backed by Biden.

You think it’s gonna fix the infrastructure? No Trump wouldn’t have killed for a bill like this because it’s unnecessary right now.

It is estimated in the most optimistic viewpoint that only $500B goes toward actual infrastructure. The rest is bull****. Yeah these Republican 🤡 's really screwed the pooch. This bill has Green New Deal stuff in it and is the conduit to this unbiparisan bill they want to pass to further bankrupt America.

The Republicans (and America) hoodwinked by Pelosi.

GOP Bails Out Biden to Pass So-Called Infrastructure Bill

I notice a common theme here. 4 - NY. It also appears clear Jeff Van Drew is still a democrat in disguise. Based on this governors race in NJ, this chameleon change was for survival but he's still a democrat. They even put a D beside his name. Is he caucasing with Republicans? Kinzinger is a lameduck at this point. Probably one or two more. I'm surprised Liz Cheney isn't on the list but I guess this wasn't about Trump.

I hope in 2022 the Republicans do what the Biden administration has done to the border wall.

Thirteen House Republicans voted to bail out Pelosi and Biden’s agenda, giving them the majority in the House necessary to pass the bill.

Reps. John Katko (R-NY), Don Bacon (R-NE), Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ), Fred Upton (R-MI), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Don Young (R-AK), Tom Reed (R-NY), Chris Smith (R-NJ), Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH), and Rep. David McKinley (R-WV) reportedly voted yes on the so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill.

Its a garbage bill that might be able to fix some roads and bridges in like 5 states over the timelength and I love to travel by train but I'm sorry Amtrak is like throwing your money down a bottomless pit. Amtrak to lose $700 million in fiscal 2020 even after coronavirus support

Nobody is taking the train enmasse and won't. That's just the reality. It's like forcing Americans to go electric vehicle. They cost too much and take too much time to go from Point A to Point B. Now they want to make people pay a tax on mileage? This is a attempted forced socialist takeover that has all the boxes checked.
