Many of these folks have mental health issues. Others are attempting to medicate physical and/or psychological pain.
I'm not sure tough love is the best approach.
Yeah. I understand. There is a wide range of conditions which fall under mental illness.Did we not have mental illness back in the day?
Sorry, I know I've expressed my feelings about this before but I think the explosion in mental illness is just am excuse for bad behavior. Yes I know there are people with serious mental health issues but it seems like now we have become "aware" and "sensitive" to the issue everyone has a mental illness. I'm betting 3/4 of my wife's friends are on an anti-depressant or similar.

I am talking more about the severe stuff. It was different back then. It was kept behind closed doors in homes or asylums.
I don't either. No one has a good idea. It sucks, too because when on their meds they're ok. But when they're ok they don't think they need their meds.Other than reopening the state asylums I don't know what to do about the severe cases. Outpatient care doesn't seem to be working.
I haven't been in a casino except to see a show in years, just don't have the urge. But if people want to gamble it should be legal.
We lived by a casino in Louisiana only went there for concerts and the buffet lol we are too cheap to gamble, but some people have serious problems.. but, it’s not my problem lol.. Fun fact: you can also write off your gambling losses in Louisiana on your taxes which was one of many bizarre experiencesI haven't been in a casino except to see a show in years, just don't have the urge. Is that a fact?Donald Trump, as dumb as he is, at least tried to do what he said he was going to do.
