40-41 year old Millenials

We're not talking about online gambling here. With the exception of buying a few lottery tickets a year, I don't gamble. Please stick to the subject.

Second. How many in here are willing to go live in a neighborhood with a high amount of drug addicts?

You probably already live around many people that are addicted to drugs. About half of the people in my neighborhood consume alcohol multiple times throughout the week.

He said online gaming. Not online gambling This is really going poorly for you.
Sorry read that wrong. I don't do online gaming either. Maybe people should stick to the subject at hand.

It's really going poorly for you guys trying to equate legalizing all drugs to conservatism. And I know none of you guys are willing to live around what you're advocating for.

I wouldn't call that addiction.

Keep in mind drug overdose deaths in 2021 were the highest ever for this country. Twice as many people died from drug overdose deaths in 2021 than they did in the Vietnam War.

Legalizing drugs had nothing to do with conservatism.

I spent 3 years living in Grant Park Atlanta and another 5 years living off of the tree streets in Johnson City. I lived around EXACTLY what I was advocating for. Again I can’t remember a thread ever going so poorly for someone.

Plenty of weed and alcohol use around everywhere. If they can use heroin or meth and afford a house here then more power to them

You don't believe there is a correlation between alcohol consumption and addiction?

If they are consuming every day then it's an addiction. Just like someone who can't go a day without smoking marijuana has an addiction as well.

Well by your definition of addiction a crack cocaine user can hit the crack pipe 6 days of 7 in a week but doesn't have an addiction problem. Owe deer lort LULZ!

My husband had a cousin accidentally overdose on hydrocodone and I was a behavioral treatment nurse for 15 years.. I’ve seen it all and then some

Care, support, rehab, counseling, job placement, and the like.

I know it will sound harsh but what we need to bring back are the county work houses/chain gangs. Nothing like 30-60 days of 12 hour day of working like a dog 6 days a week to get a person clean. Put minor offenders into programs like that, they come out with a clean record, system and with their mind right and the taxpayers actually get something from it.

And again. If they don’t drive/don’t live off the government and don’t neglect minor children then who cares? You would be shocked at the number of judges/ doctors lawyers and business leaders who unwind at the end of the day By burning one. And they aren’t out on the streets scoring. It comes vacuum sealed via UPS from California.

I worked in behavioral health for a long time, and the general rule was do you you require said substance to maintain a baseline level of functioning? If so, you are an addict. Periodt.

Then we should do the same thing for people who have to have to have gambling debts erased by the state. Not sure all states have that program but casinos in Mississippi have to put money into a fund.

If you have overwhelming proof that legalizing all drugs is good for society then please provide it.

Also. What conservative politicians are out there advocating for the legalization of all did?

Are these beliefs that you and others are willing to share in Sunday school class?

Can you name a conservative politician?

I get cranky if I don’t get a Bojangles tea every morning around 930.

I'm not opposed to debtors work camps. Lots of details to work out on that one but I'm open to the idea.

political views are drastically impacted by how you are raised inside the home. I'm 45 and, I was raised in a family of old conservative democrats. My views stayed the same but my party shifted to Republican voting.
I hear that a lot.. heck I voted for Clinton my first election that I could vote.. grew up, got married, had kids, paid taxes, had a mortgage, had some eye-opening nursing jobs, and boy, my point of view changed lol.. Dems are too crazy and out of touch, I can’t relate
