48 pts behind Bama at #6. OSU 5th.
NCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football Poll | AP News
We also lost to #2 on the road by 14 and fell 4 spots. If u lose at home to #3 u should fall at least 5 spots.LOL. You can't be serious. They are now the lowest ranked of the 1-loss teams. The fell as far as they were EVER going to fall. They lost by 22 points to the #2 in the nation. We lost last week by 25 points to a team that was unranked at the time.
Because they lost to Tennessee.Because they lost by 20+ to a terrible team?
Ha! Straight to the ad hominem attack! Great way to convince me you have no substance to your arguments, and that you were raised either without good sense or without strong values, a negative reflection on those who raised you. Have you considered the way that your public actions reflect on them?
Fortunately I know now that your view is backed only by your only opinion, and I put no value in that.
What the hell is wrong with so many of you? Team don't fall a designated number of spots when they lose a game. They fall a certain number of spots in relation to the other teams that have similar records. Ohio State is now the lowest ranked 1-loss team. You guys are seriously dense. We also lost to #2 on the road by 14 and fell 4 spots. If u lose at home to #3 u should fall at least 5 spots.
Yea that was such a terrible team that they walked into another top 8 teams house and beat them a week later after kicking our assIt’s not like we have one loss to UGA and Bama has one loss to us. We made our bed and we aren’t moving past anyone ahead of us right now unless it’s Penn St. They didn’t lose by 20+ to a terrible team so that’s more than enough to put them ahead of us.
So what impressive win does Bama have?
I’ll wait.
Clemson dropping only 3 and Ohio State to number 5 after getting soundly defeated at home...not to mention Alabama ranked ahead of Tennessee...this poll is ridiculousClemson dropping only three spots is garbage. They’ve played nobody except a barely decent Notre Dame and a Johnny come lately Top 25 SCar.
Because they lost to Tennessee.
When comparing two teams in the same conference, with the same overall record, and the same conference record, with similar strengths of schedule, the head-to-head matchup should be the tie-breaker.
Who has Alabama beaten to warrant being ahead of Tennessee? Absolutely nobody.
Alabama has wins over three 8-4 teams (Ole Miss, Miss State and Texas), two 6-6 teams (Arkansas and Utah State), three 5-7 teams (Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Auburn), a 4-8 team (Louisiana Monroe) and an FCS team (Austin Peay).
... and South Carolina is now 8-4 and they just beat Clemson on the road. That "terrible" team you are referring to, now has two wins which are much more impressive than anything that Alabama has done in 2022.
Your theory only matters if it’s to determine who plays in a conference championship. They didn’t get blown out by a bad team that’s for sure.
Who cares? The AP Poll and the Coaches Poll are irrelevant. The CFP Poll is the only thing that matters for determining position in the playoffs.I agree with what they didn’t do, but I think his theory may or may not matter depending on if the voters actually have some guidance somewhere for determining tie breaks and such. There are clears rules for determining conference winners but do AP voters and coaches polls have something written down somewhere to guide them at all? I always assumed it was completely subjective but if there is guidance somewhere that backs up someone’s argument I could get on board with them.
Neither did Tennessee. South Carolina is 8-4, and they have a much better victory on their resume than anyone Alabama has beaten.Your theory only matters if it’s to determine who plays in a conference championship. They didn’t get blown out by a bad team that’s for sure.
