I should've made it clear I think that is what ajvol is referring to, not Trump's cabinet since Kasich has TDS from getting rolled during the 2016 primaries like he ever had a chance.
Isn't it entirely possible that John Kasich simply doesn't like Donald Trump's behavior? You are trying to assign a personal agenda to Kasich, when it really would have been easier for him to take the Lindsey Graham approach, and campaign for someone that he doesn't like just because they are in his party.

Hard to fall in line with the Party nominee when you’ve been a vocal never-Trumper for 4+ years.

Trump wouldn’t hire Kasich under any circumstances.
And I don't think Kasich would work under Trump under any circumstances. The Trump campaign wanted Kasich to speak at the Cleveland convention four years ago. Kasich didn't even attend the convention at all.

Seems like a long list from what everyone’s telling me. Oh well, it’s nice to be included in something I suppose.

May even be the first time I’ve ever called that all things considered. :)
when k-clown plays the racist card on you then you have arrived. bnhunt is one of many JV racist card players in the PF.

Which makes your suggestion that Kasich just “tow the party line” and back the Republican nominee to get a cabinet position or appointment even more ridiculous.

I was obviously talking about what John Kasich could have done during the 2016 campaign, if political ambition was the only thing that motivated him. There is nothing to indicate that Kasich's decision to oppose Trump is motivated by anything other than the fact that Kasich simply doesn't like Trump's character and conduct. How hard is that to understand?

Except his endorsement of Biden.

Once you endorse a Democrat and speak at the DNC your days as a Republican are over.

Not exactly. Will has left the Republican Party because of their support for Trump, and now refers to himself as an Independent. I find that to be a fairly strong condemnation of Trump... and both Will and Kasich have cited some policies of Trump's that they object to.

An Independent is different than switching parties. In fact you just hit the nail on the head why Leo Terrell is not analogous to Will and Kasich.

I don't think that will be true for John Kasich in Ohio. I think Kasich will run against Sherrod Brown for his Senate seat in 2024, and I think he will win.

There are not analogous because people have actually heard of Will and Kasich.

He won't make it out of the primary as a Republican
I think you are wrong. Kasich was a very popular governor. Never lost an election in that state. Especially if Trump loses in November... he is quickly forgotten in a state like Ohio.

Why are you attempting to act like you don't know who Terrell is because he is not a politician? You have probably watched Hannity more than I have, and certainly more Americans have watched than any other news network or show in August.

That's irrelevant. It's not analogous because one is changing parties and the other two are not
It's not irrelevant, because Will has left the Republican Party and he is voting for a Democrat. His voice also carries more weight. Who the hell is Leroy Terrell?

You have to act? I honestly have never heard of the guy. If he mostly just appears on Fox News, then that would explain why. But if he is a regular on Hannity, then I am immediately skeptical that he ever truly was a Democrat in the first place.

Ah now we see how the liberal reacts when he's peeved that blacks are voting for a Republican.

He calls the guy Leroy.

Chris Hahn is a democrat, do you question his loyalty? How about Donna Brazile? Juan Williams? They are all on FoxNews.

I live in Ohio. I've been a resident here my entire life. You're dead wrong. Republican voters won't forgive him. I can tell you I sure won't vote for him

I don't think that Donna Brazile goes on Hannity. I really don't care, but a black pundit knows that they will get considerably more exposure for announcing that they support Trump... then they will for supporting Biden. Blacks in support of Biden are a dime a dozen on cable news.... but they are given their own platform by Fox News if they will announce support for Trump. In most cases, it's a matter of wanting some attention. Just like that black sheriff in Milwaukee who continued to wear his uniform on his televised appearances, even though he had left office.
