"Grey shirt is a term used to designate an incoming freshman who waits until the second semester to enroll rather than the fall. College athletes are allowed a five year calendar to play four seasons. The calendar begins once one is enrolled. By waiting until the spring to start college, a player will be playing his last season in the sixth year after high school rather than the fifth. "

We can predict classes now but I guarantee atleast 3 of our current commitments leave elsewhere, it always happens. I also expect us to get a stud sleeper on signing day. A good player committed to LSU or UGA because I'd be shocked if both of their coaches make it past NSD. I just have a feeling about Ray Drew. Either way we will get 1 5 star this class. On Dec 1st we were nowhere on Da'Rick Rogers radar but we snagged him, I could see something like that happening again

Is there any chance we get a JUCO OL? I think early on we were recruiting some, but is that out of the question now?

Don't really need one.

We are set for awhile with James, Schofield, Stone, Fulton, Posey, Kerbyson, Crodwer, Gooch, Pair, and hopefully Richardson.

I don't think he is a backup for anybody. They really like him. Something has gotta give on these DBs though. They've gotta commit if they wanna be here. Hopefully King pulls the trigger quick cuz Thomas is committing as soon as he gets back to Knoxville.

I think he goes to Auburn, but we have a good shot and will be in it till the very end . Auburn-UT battle.

Hopefully they keep Dixon but since they got Young maybe they won't. IMO we need all the playmakers we can get but we need O and D line too.

That is why I a scratching my head as to why the staff accepted a commitment from Devrin Young so early. It's not like schools are knocking his door down to sign him. I wish we would have held out at least until official visits. These players have not even gone on official visits yet. There are a lot of players still left out there and a lot can happen once players start checking out UT on their official visits. We are not giving ourselves much wiggle room. The staff may like D. Young, but why not wait? Chances are they could still probably sign him come NSD, if they really needed to fill the class up. I just do not understand. I wish they would have moved this fast with Eric McClain. That dude is a stud and will be much more valuable over his 4-5 year college career, IMO.

Too bad you can't over sign one class and take those spots for next year. Like sign 29 this year and only have 23 to work with next year...

I think we need LB's. Our Lb's blow. Thompson is very overrated IMO. No playmakers at that spot. Lathers will be good w/ time but besides that it seems bleek.

I really agree on Jones. IMO hes the best true corner prospect we are after.
