No just the goofballs that REALLY need silenced. We could only have 1 dislike available at our disposal per day. Trust me I've got it all figured out ;)

I understand.... anyone that has a different opinion than yours is a goofball.

I am not upset about the results against Oregon or Florida because I realize we don't have enough depth or talent to win those games. I am upset that I did not see our coordinators make in game adjustments when USA battled back and hit us in the mouth in the second half. What are we going to do when we do have the talent and a lead against the SEC big dogs and we start to lose that lead? I guess I really expected to see us take care of business better than we did against a subpar team. I'm not calling for the coach to be fired. I do believe the staff is responsible for almost letting that game escape our grasp. I believe CBJ will hold his coaches accountable just like he does his players. Deep down, after the third coaching change, I was really hoping we had a staff that knows how to get players in better position to make plays and put non-conference tune up games away.

In yesterdays game the receivers were wide open on numerous occasions and were either missed by QB over over/under thrown. Those players being open are part of the scheme just not something that was lucked into. A real good example is on the first interception Josh Smith was wide open on the side line for a first down and Worley threw the ball into triple coverage. I am sure he was supposed to read where the safety went and throw the ball accordingly. He made the wrong read that resulted in an interception is that the coaches fault or players?

I have said all year that the defensive scheme was working and players were not making plays and we seen it again yesterday with all the missed tackles.

Dear Lord, every thread is nothing but an argument. Every thread.

Discussing opinions, sure, it's a message board but every damn thread is nothing but people trying to out yell the other that they are right.

Fine, argue, but both sides show some damn class to your fellow vol fans.

We all care, we all bleed orange and we all live and die by Tennessee Football.

Edit: laugh at the crying GA fan gif, smile at your children, give your wife a kiss, step away for a second, and then Bleed Orange all over Neyland this Saturday, at home in your man cave, or all over the table at your local bar. Bleed with your friends, your fellow Vol fans, with me, with us all

Watch more college football before making foolish posts like this.

why don't you enlighten me oh great one? The op's excuse was we dont have any 4 or 5 star talent. I think it is an appropriate question given that we barely escaped with a win don't you think?

What exactly is your point we have more talent and we won. That is the way it should work right.

The OP was stating that we have lost more 4 star players than other teams in the conference. Do you agree or disagree with that. He was not comparing our talent to South Alabama.

Until we field a two deep with not a lot of fall off between the 1's and the 2's, we're going to have to play really well to beat good teams. Pretty much perfect to be exact.. The QB position is killing us as well. Need more from that position in this offensive system.

OP makes a good point. Kiffin's missing class is killing us right now.

Most of the criticism has been in response to yesterday's game. The point is what was the excuse for barely pulling out a win against a team that shouldn't have even been on the same field as us?

How many 4 and five star players does South Alabama have?

To our players defense, the only reason why USA was still in the game against us is the difference in QB talent. The difference is 1 player. If I recall correctly, Worley threw 3 INT in the Red zone. The score would have been more like the WKU game if he hadn't thrown those. And this is not bashing Worley either. The guy is still adjusting. He has to learn a whole new system along with a bunch of freshmen receivers and two or three veterans (luckily we have two very capable running backs).

To say something like 'urr but how many 4* athletes does university of derp have compared to UT' is a statement of ignorance. By saying something like this and notably agreeing with a statement like this is ignoring the state of the program.

I am sorry I guess I did not know that you needed an excuse when you win but I am sure the many teams who were not as fortunate as UT to get a win yesterday may be able to help you.

So let me get this straight... it's ok to make the comparison with teams we're expected to lose to but not to lesser teams we're expected to hammer? Just want to make sure I understand the formula here.

I am betting that if you wanted to take the time to look at starters for both teams yesterday you would be surprised of how close our talent is to South Alabama's.

You are arguing the wrong point on the wrong thread.

The only one's going off the deep end are the one's that go ballistic when someone is slightly critical of Butch. How many threads have been started saying it's time to fire Butch? Now how many of these excuses threads have popped up since yesterday?

I personally like Butch but I don't think he and his all star staff was ready for this stage. I realize he needs more time. I have seen improvement in a lot of areas. But I've also noticed things that caused concern.

i agree,CBJ and his coaches are going thru a learning curve too, they have to get used to coaching in the SEC in a hurry, which they should be able to

I don't see it. The OP was making the typical "we don't have any talent left due to attrition" argument as an excuse for our poor play. I simply stated in a round about way that that excuse doesn't hold water in the South Alabama game.

I see what you are saying and our talent is closer to South Alabama than it is to Georgia or Florida. It is really hard to say that but with the attrition and poor evaluation of recruits the last few years it is where we are at.

They are. My main gripe is that it seems they are forcing the offense on players incapable of running it. I understand implementing their system. I would hope that could occur while still putting the current players in the best position to have some success. Unless this is totally a throw away season.

Jones will be ok. Not so sure about Bajakian. The defense has exceeded my expectations.

if you are too blind to see that we don't have the talent it takes to compete in the SEC week in and week out then no one can help you. Do you really think that Cody Blanc, Malik Foreman, Cameron Sutton, Brent Brewer, Justin Worley, Rajon Neal, and many other would see the field at UGA, UA, LSU, UF, or SC?

Are you saying we don't have the talent to compete in the Sun Belt too? Because I haven't seen anyone say we have the talent to compete in the SEC.
