A few practice updates from last night and today (Practice #13 thread)

I think he is a great head coach. His coach speak has literal nothing to do with how I feel about him. All I said is that i would rather not waste time listening to him repeat himself over and over about how he is looking for us to have consistent consistency in our up-tempo consistency

You mad bro? Kidding lol.

Reading your post...it seems you ARE mad!

If you would rather not waste time listening to him...then don't! BTW...it is the off season...coaches can't help but repeat themselves as it is the nature of the beast in the offseason.

There is no norm for grade 1 or 2 high ankle sprains!

You are right about the boot and Tx.....!

He won't be losing cardio as they can utilize a arm bike or even swimming to say the least!

You said it, there really is no norm for high-ankle sprains. Recovery varies from one to another. :good!:

I say I'd rather read a transcript than watch a video and you'd think I punched a baby up in here.

If you think the stuff he says is constructive then you must really wanna sip his jock water. He is intentionally being vague at all times. He must have you tricked.

Even if his interviews are coach speak, there's a purpose to everything he says and does. It's fascinating actually, how he controls everyone's perception of the program, the players and the coaching staff. If he needs to get a message across he finds a way to slip it in in a way to have the most impact. I get a lot of information from his interviews- either directly or indirectly, sorry that you don't. But like I said, whatever...do you, man.

Actually like when he calls out an individual :dance2: who has been consistently consistent while other individuals:dance2: have been consistently inconsistent :hi:

Oh man, individuals. I actually feel bad that i didn't think of that one lol. Bravo

Who had/has better coach speak - Dooley or Jones?

I see where you are going with this and it has nothing to do with anything.

He appears to be an awesome head football coach, but he is miserable to listen to. Why is that so hard to comprehend? You can be both of those things. He doesn't walk on water.

Is it impossible to comprehend the ability to move your mouse cursor away from the "play" button on the videos?

What are you talking about? Yes, I do that. It is what I have been doing for a while now. I read the transcripts. I have said that like 5 times now. Did you read all those posts where I said that? What are you trying to say? Are you just making an observation? yes, I don't watch the videos anymore.

Barnett is going to be huge for us in the future. He is very quick off the ball and just has fast hands. I can see why our coaches are so high on him. QB's looked more fluid with their throws in the drills today than I have seen in the last few days.

To further elaborate, I was just saying Worley is the guy, has always been the guy and will very likely be the guy unless Peterman continues to impress. Coach Jones says everyone on the team is ALWAYS in competition for their job. That is ....wait for it...coach speak. It is true, but it doesn't mean anyone was ever close to pushing Worley for his job. I think this QB competition is something that we as fans and the media have overblown.

I am a football junkie , I've watched many coaches college and pro doing interviews . We all recognize coach speak as a requirement of the job to an extent . I don't think CBJ is any better or worse than the rest of the industry , I actually think it's just how he normally talks to people . He's just very methodical . Ask yourself if you'd rather hear CBJ laying out his plan for us or someone like Lou Holtz

Everyone is mad because omg said he doesn't like to hear Butch Jones interview? I 100% agree with him. I listened to Dooley's far more than I do Butch's. Butch uses nothing but coach speak, he's an actual coach. Dooley wasn't a real coach so his interviews were always far more entertaining.

I haven't listened to a Butch interview in months. He's very tight-lipped and reveals nothing in his interviews, strictly says what the media wants to hear and can report.

Because CBJ is better than Lou Holtz still doesn't support that I glean much of anything from watching CBJ interviews.

The other day he said that he was close to naming a starting QB and everyone pooped bricks because that was so out of character. Everyone was shocked. That is as clear a clue as any that he just doesn't give good info.

WHICH IS FINE. IT GIVES US A STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE. I LIKE BUTCH JONES!!!!!

...but I will just read the transcripts instead
