A new reason to hate Gary Danielson...

Spoken like someone who has never stepped on a football field as an opposing player/coach. What a f’ing clown.

Edit: spoken like someone whose only experience as a football player/coach was at motley Purdue in the 70s in front of… 69k. Hardly qualifies him to speak on the difference between 80k and 100k.

Neyland is going to be the difference maker this week. The game will be speed up for Max Johnson and our pass rush will capitalize.

He also had this to say regarding Milton and our offense. Hope we light them up Saturday and Squirrel White has Texas A&M "shaking in their boots"

“I’m not critical, but I thought I would get more (from Milton),” Danielson told Knox News. “It’s not just Joe, though. This team doesn’t have the firepower at wide receiver that they had a year ago. So it’s a different looking process. And because of that, everything looks a little harder."
“I think it remains to be seen. So far they haven’t,” Danielson said. “You’ve got to have a receiver they feel is a mismatch. Who is that for Tennessee? They’ve got a lot of good receivers. Right now, they don’t have a mismatch – you know, where the corner is shaking in his boots at the snap.

“But there’s an opportunity for someone to emerge. We’ll see what happens and who it is for Tennessee.”

“This offense works well when the quarterback is making and processing quick decisions and attacking,” Danielson said. “And so far against comparable talent, it seems to be a tenth of a second slower than what Josh Heupel would like.”

Really can’t wait for Bama Gary to start calling Iowa Rutgers games next year. Those big ten programs are deserving of him

Hope Nessler goes to espn though. He’s great and thought Neuhiesel did okay with the Tennesse/Mizzou game though he was too fixated on Heupel scoring that end of game touchdown

All he is wanting to do is have TN fans talking and posting about him because other than that no one cares about him.

I looked up Danielson's pro career stats. 101 Game; 28-31-1 W/L; 57.2% Passing; 81 TD's/78 Int's. And he wants to criticize Joe? When you live in a glass house, rocks should not be thrown.

So did some of you not realize Gary is a dm tool that loves to hear his own voice ?

Gary probably isn't wrong. Home field advantage is a big deal across most of the SEC. The Vols are 4-5 in SEC Road Games under Heupel. 2 wins were against Vandy and UK. The wins against LSU and Missouri were noon games.

Don't "hate" him. Bit much. Strong dislike for his style which is usually self elevating. I mean folks he is big tenner. He is a graduate of Purdue. Last time eye cked that was in beeg 10. But I ain't gonna hate on him. My wife asks why I mute him. States the obvious and well that's enough. His stadium statements are laughable for sure.
And I’m sure he can’t wait for next year when CBS picks up the Big 10 and he won’t have to put up with us rubes anymore and he can stay north of the Mason-Dixon. Good riddance as far as I’m concerned. There are far better color analysts out there.

Danielson is a Big 10 homer at heart. Always has been always will be. Once you've integrated that into a few of your brain cells most all of his comments, slants, and biases he produces begin to come clear. LOL course to him there's nothing special about Neyland, it's just a stadium with a football field within it. I'm sick of Big 10 people being assigned and making their daily bread on the backs of SEC schools and their athletes. It's like the SEC cannot produce pundits and commentators so they must have to go to Yankee land to get talent. $#@& 'em!
Don’t have to listen to him after this year unless you want to watch Big 10 games.

LOL

All he is saying is that all stadiums have volume problems for visiting teams. Its something I've seen many times at other venues. Auburn 1990 was one of the loudest, maybe the loudest as it is hard to prove, as any game I've ever attended. I've been to LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Florida. lots of places and it is LOUD. Affects the play of visiting teams and I've seen Tennessee impacted many times by crowds on the road. Even Vanderbilt in 1982 was loud enough to be a factor. Example is the false start penalties Tennessee had at Florida this year, crowd made an impact.

that's all he is saying.

Now how good a team is always determines if the home crowd is going to be loud and into the game or not. If your team is crappy, then fans are not as likely to be an influence on the game. Its all relative.

This /\

Charter and I said much the same thing and came to the conclusion we'd trade 5k seats at Neyland for a chairback and a cup holder.
