A Possible Solution Presents Itself.

Larry Brown is in the consulting phase of his career. Way past being the face of your college program phase.

Hell, let's hire Tark. He's available too.

Larry is in his consulting phase alright. That's why he had an NBA job as recently as a month ago.

Yeah, Cal has just had bad luck in being a head coach for over 20 years without a championship. Surprised a Memphis fan would defend his coaching ability seeing him lose games despite the talent he collected.

only reason calipara has won as much is because he is as dirty as a pig pen he has cheated every he has been .if anyone thinks he has recruited all these top ten recruits without spending or buying houses or cars,it isnt because he can tell recruits there going to win national titals because even with the best talent money can buy he hasnt won yet, sure he knows nba talent but thats it.

Which is exactly what I said to UTIE, and you took exception to it.

The whole original thought of Larry Brown being a solution if Pearl is fired is ridiculous. I would rather have Phil Jackson over Andy Kennedy, but it's not realistic. What's the point in arguing something that is not going to happen? And if Hat were to approve of the Andy Kennedy hire, you would do a 180. That is fact.

Little off topic. Watching Witchita St. vs. Bradley, and I love how Marshall recruits. If I were to tell you there was a 7 footer from Nigeria on a mid major team, most would say he would be very slow/clumsy. However, he is very athletic. Marshall finds some very, very good players. They are a team that probably is going to make noise again in March. If Pearl were to go, would love to have him as would a bunch of people.

I think Andy Kennedy is garbage. I wouldn't care who endorsed his hiring; I would not.

Couldn't agree more. That's why LB has visited both 'Nova and KY in the last two weeks - his complete disinterest in ever coaching again and collegiate bball.

Oh, I think there's no way MH would even approach him to gauge his interest, but the theory isn't as implausible as some would like it to be.

I'm an Andy Kennedy fan. My 2 criticisms of him are his lack of ability to recruit or retain decent post players and lack of team defense. Ole Miss has been solid every year he has been in Oxford, but it's his 5th season. He should have an NCAA appearance.

So he is bad at one of the two biggest phases of the game, and he can't recruit? Why the hell would UT consider him?

If Pearl is fired, the coaching search should start and end in Wichita.

I'm not. He's yet to match his predecessor's level of success, which wasn't that great.

I've always said that Anderson or Marshall should be the 2 leading candidates.

I put AK on my list to hang hatnation in a diffcult position. Anyone that's been here a while knows what I mean.

And AK would be successful with UT's resources.
