A Thread For The Coaching Search Family!

I'm not calling for his head, but I'm not sure he was ready for a job on this stage yet. I think hevcan ge5 there but he's learning on the job. He's learning that this ain't the big east. Ironically, I thought when hevwas hired he'd be a very good X's and O's coach and get more out of less talent and struggle with recruiting. It's turned out to be the opposite. He's onebheck of a salesman, I'll give him that.

Good post. Agree on all points and I also think his X's and O's need some adjustment for the SEC. Also, all indications are that we went backwards on the offensive line coaching from last year. Pittman was doing a heck of a job.

He is working on a learning scale IMHO himself as well as his staff, if they improve, and I believe/hope they will he can bring us a championship, if they don't we may be in slow boat to China

I think this is highly accurate. He was able to step into somewhat established programs when he was in Central Michigan and Cincy by following Kelly, but I'm not sure he was prepared for the dumpster fire our program was in at the time.

As for the Xs and Os, I have to say using players that don't fit your particular style of offense isn't easy, but has made the best of it somewhat. He's been a "damn the torpedoes" kinda guy so far by not trying to mix and match old offense versus new and is implementing the offense no matter what. Not sure if that's a wise choice given the circumstances, but what's the worst we can do? 6-6 season with a bowl game?

But recruiting wise, he is on the hugely positive side and is able to sell whatever it is he is selling for the program. I do think making a run at the SEC East is a real possibility for next year with the starters getting seasoned and the depth coming in. Year after? We'll see how it goes, but I expect good things and to be in contention for the SEC East yet again, potentially the SEC Championship and well into the consistent Top 25 rankings.

OUch :vava:- that game was a bit unexpected...of course my heart always believes we will win even if my brain thinks not...but I didn't expect that!

Good post - I am wondering though, did the coppers catch you? I was saddling up the steed to come to your rescue! :)

PS - BOOM! Berry Bros!

The Mizzou game was unexpected in the way it happened, but not in the eventual outcome necessarily. I thought we would end up being way more competitive especially after halftime.

As for the cops, nope lol. Neighbors didn't get wise either.

I just dropped in to see what condition my condition is in?

Are we gona burn down the barn ?????

I don't feel very good Coasty. I think weez in fer a truble. Theyaz a bunch better then them Mizzery Tigers. I think weez gonna lose by a pair of them thar tuchdowns.

I think Dobbs will look even better but I don't think the D will fair any better against Auburn (Maybe worse since Auburn is better coached and extremely more talented) than they did against MO. Here's to hoping though! :salute:

Don't know about eating tiger meat, but I know what a tiger had for breakfast ( brunch ? ) today. Maybe the week off will help against the dores. Hope so.

I didn't want to see us in a MUST WIN situation against Vandy and Ky....

we mess up so quickly

I'm not a coach but I've never seen so many broken assignments on defense. We cannot stop the run and our offensive line gets no push off the ball. They pass block pretty decent. Period. And then the penalties.............

Our "D" was awful and our special teams was worse than that

Doesn't help that the Tigers have freaks of nature doing returns. One of the fastest teams outside of Oregon we've faced this year.

Our special teams have been pretty decent this year up until recently. Remember steamrolling that poor kid from Georgia multiple times?

Defense on the other hand needs some work. Speed more than anything. Just aren't that fast
