Much is a stretch.

Not really. Look at who’s in the playoffs/BCS/whatever year in and year out. It ain’t an ACC team more than an SEC team.
Look at the head-to-head.
Clemson won the ACC in 2022 and played the Vols in the Orange Bowl (Vols were 3rd best SEC) and got smoked.
The only time the ACC is decent is when they aren’t a one-horse show, which is not much.
