FSU qb was lucky on that hit he took. Left knee looked like it was close to hyperextension.

I do love FSU's 1 back running game. It's based around counter trey (pulling the backside guard and tackle). It's not that different than our power based running game (as I'm typing this they just ran QB power). Except we kick out with the FB/TE and they kick out with the guard. The similarity is we are both then leading through the hole with the backside tackle.

The advantage of getting good at one back counter trey is that you now have 4 vertical threats to pressure the defense.

This is not the high quality football from the SEC championship or the PAC championship.

Clemson, when they dominated the conference, were at least a good team. Neither of these teams are impressive.

This game so far is why a few ESPN/SEC sports folks have speculated that the selection committee might leave out undefeated FSU depending on how the other conf championship games played out. Without Jordan Travis they just don’t look like one of the 4 best teams.

That's dumb criteria. It would be like leaving the undefeated Vikings out of the playoffs if Randy Moss went down.

If they win, they should 100% be in.

Fortunately the NFL is not selection committee based. The onfield results are the only thing that matters. Not a few subjective opinions.

Also, they would have several weeks to work out the QB issue and hopefully QB 2, who did not look that bad last week, would be back.

And let's be honest, if we had to start QB 3 against a good team, we too would struggle like this. as would most teams.

The problem is, they didn't do that last year even after saying that and pointed out conference championships do matter.

I would love for them to list the criteria they use to rank the best teams. BEST is a subjective word. I think if we all defined the criteria for BEST we would define it very different.
