This morning I heard Timothy Olyphant was originally offered the role Vin Diesel played in The Fast and The Furious amd Eminem was offered Paul Walker's role. I forgot who i heard was offered Jordana Brewster's role.

Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder in Blazing Saddles.

Richard Pryor was originally supposed to be Sheriff Bart, but I think Little nailed it. And Mel Brooks wanted John Wayne for The Waco Kid. And Wilder was actually the third choice for the role behind Gig Young.

Crowe was awesome in LA Confidential, but his accent in Gladiator knocked his performance down a little for me. A Spaniard with an Aussie accent struck me strange..... as if a Spaniard speaking American English is any different

There is no Caddy Shack without Bill Murray. I mean he was even a groundskeeper and a caddy for the local country club growing up.

Also John Wayne in his older movies like Stagecoach, Fort Apache etc.

Toshiro Mifune - Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Rashomon. A legendary actor in Japan - always had a way of demanding your attention on film.
