Crowe was awesome in LA Confidential, but his accent in Gladiator knocked his performance down a little for me. A Spaniard with an Aussie accent struck me strange..... as if a Spaniard speaking American English is any different

I guess it didn't bother me as much. I'm used to Nazi's, Russians, Romans, etc. all having British accents. :)

I watched Gladiator again a couple of weeks ago... that film is starting to show its age. I remember how cutting-edge it was when it released.

Had I not heard the Star Wars radio dramas I would agree 100%, but Brock Peters was just as good
