Agency to Consider Federal BAN of Gas Stoves Over Health Hazards

Bureaucrats shouldn't have the power to "ban", "outlaw" or impose new regulations. Only congress should be have the power to pass such measures and they only become law once POTUS signs it.

If the Rs really wanted to impress people they would pass legislation taking away any such power from the various agencies.

So after watching TV, I was checking stuff on my phone and saw something that talked about why you can't drink real Root Beer today. Turns out it was made with sassifras, and the FDA declared that a carcinogen. I remember that happening and also remember we used to brew sassifras tea from the root. Apparently later research can't back up the FDA's allegations, but naturally they aren't backing down.

BTW for anybody streaming on Netflix, you might check out "The Sinner". It's basically about a detective who refuses to give up when everybody else has decided they have the case solved and somebody ready to pay. Very interesting series - at least the first two seasons have been. Binge watching is so much better than waiting for the next episode. I've even gotten to the point of reading dead authors so I don't get to the end of a series and wait a year for the next book.

I did get one of those hand pumps that allows you pump fuel out of the can. Those do work pretty good. They have electric ones too.
I have a 5 gallon gas can that has a trigger you just press and it pours out the gas. Got it from Tractor Supply. Almost all 1 gallon cans are useless though.

There are numerous safe and effective products that have been banned because of .gov idiocy. The banning of DDT was based on completely false and manipulated data for one.

You didn't read the article and are still pearl clutching. Good grief.

I read it and it's stupid.

NG burns cleaner than others. Totally clean? No. But still a cheap alternative that helps most in need that can't pay $500 a month (or more) electric bills.

I've got a great idea to help the problem. We need more pig and cattle fans to make more methane to use as an alternative. It burns about as clean as NG.

Two problems, one solution.

The reason the ban is being considered has to do with the link between NG stoves and childhood asthma.

No, the reason is because NG is now "bad" even though as little as a few years ago it was seen as the best alternative to coal and oil.

I'm willing to bet pennies to dollars the rate of childhood asthma is so statistically low it barely makes a blip and there are far greater risks in play than something that's been around for 50-100 years.

This is yet another BS overreach by the government and swinging of the pendulum to the far left on climate change agenda. You know it, I know it and everyone else saw through it. This invoking of "for the children!" and "for minorities!" and "For the climate!" is utter BS.

Actually childhood asthma has increased right along with the the amount of time kids spend indoors with air conditioning.

There were two kids in my old neighborhood growing up that had asthma. Both of the adults in each house smoked causing them to be exposed to secondhand smoke. Additionally, both households had dirty floors with dust everywhere. That gas stove though.

Most people used wood burning stoves or fire places 50yrs ago to, you're saying child asthma wasn't as bad? Its all just BS. The left exploiting children again for more regulations.

National Debt Tops $30 Trillion: Comparing National Debt by President

"During former President Barack Obama’s eight years in office, the country’s national debt grew by $8.6 trillion, or 74 percent. That's the most any sitting U.S. President has added to the national debt during their term in office."

You're not going to convince him. Sheep can't be convinced. I will say since Bush, the rinos have spent us to death but it's not how real Republicans govern. We all know the dims believe that's not your money but theirs.

Rino poster boy Paul Ryan comes to mind.

The Demokrats and their bureaucrat lapdogs have already told you what kind of light bulbs you have to use, how much water you can use in a toilet flush, how much water your shower head can use, what you can say on social media about vaccines, and are now working towards forcing you into an electric car. This is just the logical next step.
If you voted for a single Dem in the last decade, congratulations, you got what you asked for; permanent self righteous busybodies who are CERTAIN they know more than you do. Welcome to the inescapable HOA from H3LL
