Ainge DUI

Why did you sign the paper if you didnt agree to abide by it?

The real question is what gives you the right to get plastered and then drive?

I haven't found it in the Bill of Rights yet

Best practice is to get a DD or stay at home and drink if you can't handle the liquid courage

The problem lies in the fact it has gotten so out of hand that you cannot go have 4 beers and watch a game with your friends and be considered drunk. Heck, you can't have 2. It's the government printing money off people who really pose no threat. Yet they turn around and let a 10 time offender out. It's not about safety....it's about $$$.

It was broad terms count.

I don't get plastered and drive.

Btw I don't live in Tennessee. I don't sign the same piece of paper y'all do.

I am a professional driver. My license comes with much higher standards than most of y'all on here.

so as long as it isn't in the bill of rights the government should be able to prosecute you for it? Too bad they don't stop at those infinite possibilities. Buddy, I should be able to do exactly what I want as long as Im not hurting anyone. If I can drive like a champ with a champ .2 than why the hell should i be prosecuted for doing so?

Drunk driving kills slightly more people in a year than accidental poisoning. Take into account multiple people in vehicles and the actual incidents per state are not as high as one would think. Awareness programs, checkpoints, sober ride assistance, etc have helped lower these numbers.

The FACT is the government only wants the money. A good majority of the fatalities are from multiple offenders who they keep letting go. Make no mistake the government does not want to stop drinking and driving.

The liquor lobby doesn't want to stop it

Prohibition would not work, that's been proven

Nothing can stop people from being idiots and driving drunk.

Its just a simple solution. If you drink, then don't drive

But the drinking causes people to make poor decisions. Like picking a fight with the biggest dude in the room or believing they can drive but can't even walk straight

Don't really care, that's his personal issue and does not affect how I feel about him or UT. I feel bad for him, but its not worthy of a thread. There's got to be something better to talk about.

GBO

how about anthony weiner, bill clinton, tiger woods, bill cosby, bret farve, ray lewis, jamal lewis, or steve mcnair? top of my head in 20 seconds

I said then that Ainge would drive this program into the ditch for 10 years and nobody has wanted to admit that all of the consequences of us coddling Ainge and trying to build up his psyche so that he could play every Saturday was the beginning of our down fall (along with other things). We wasted so much time and resources in Ainge that it took way from actually getting the other players at the time prepared and ready to play. There is no question that Ainge's drain on time and resources hurt Crompton's development and ultimately, cost Fulmer his job in the end.

Nope Randy Sanders did it by calling an idiotic play against ND( .03 seconds left before the half on the UT 20 a pass play really?) causing Ainge to break his collarbone. Clawson as OC was the real downfall of Fulmer. Hamilton the downfall of the FB program.

You think college kids are against big out of control government? Wow. They sure don't vote that way.

how do you mean? look at ron paul's numbers. both the democratic and republican party are for big government. the young libertarian movement was completely ignored by the republican party, and i am glad they lost for that. screw them, stubborn bastards will ruin this country by not yielding their extreme values to anyone to help fight off the dems

His arrest is for dui, is it for alcohol or other drugs? Sorry, 38pgs in I didn't take the time to read.

Personally, as a public school teacher, I prefer to keep my chitty pay and NEVER drink and drive. One arrest and my coaching and teaching career is virtually over. Additionally, eight dollars of cab fare is not worth me taking someone's life. I hope my views are shared by all!

It not just public employees.. It everyones record

Driving drunk has the potential to affect every person on the road

If you want to get drunk, knock yourself out. Got no problem with that. Just stay at home or get someone to drive you home

Don't get behind a wheel, that's when I take issue with it.

As bad as I hate to say it, you are correct. Both parties are mutually one now. It's disgusting.

I agree with you on the first two Count. Well said. Drinking 2 beers doesn't make a typical person make bad decisions however which was one of my points. It could result in a huge fine and jail time though. Why? So the government can keep their coffers full. If they really wanted to save lives....offenders with 5 or more DUIs would lose their license for life and 10 years in jail if caught again (example).

Just a repeat of this tweet from the Producer for WATE-TV @6News and @6AroundTown. University of Tennessee alumna.

Linda Nguyen ‏@ttlnguyen:
"Former UT quarterback Erik Ainge tells @6News: "I am innocent" despite DUI arrest early this morning. We'll have the latest at 11:00."

It doesn't have the potential to do so if I can follow traffic laws.

Once again.

Over your head. You didn't see or understand what he was implying.

I love your arrogance. You're like the life skills student who believes he's going to be a doctor. It's impressive. Keep the faith, brotha!

I wasn't insinuating you did. Sorry if it came out like that

They do in most cases, its called a Habitual Motor Offender

But that still doesn't stop them from driving

whoa. nobody likes an a**hole. keep it civil. im pulling for the life skills student b/c when he makes MD he is going to have a chip on his shoulder. the south is made of unappreciated talent and our state history and football program history reflect that. Go Vols
