"your boy Butch", "your boy Dooley" is childish bull****.

He coaches my alma mater, so yes, I support whomever is on the sideline. Always have. Always will. That doesn't mean I don't see mistakes and it doesn't mean I don't hate to lose. Far from it.

I don't know if CBJ is going to make it. And I don't think it's stupid if people don't think he will. Never said such.
You just post like an ******* and the constant freaking negativity is beyond ridiculous. We get it. You guarantee he won't make it and we haven't had our first practice yet.
I don't know why you bother to watch, unless it's just to have something else to ***** about.

I would respond to this, but I failed to read it.

I am not]offended. You are the one being the Debbie Downer, your attitude helps nothing.

See, there it is again. What part of my attitude is it, the part where I was talking about how much I am looking forward to potentially railing Florida tonight?

Sorry, I guess I just failed to understand Steelcurtain there, ain't that right Sparty?

Why must anything happen? Why must he fail? Why does he have to succeed? Opinions on either side are fine but I'm excited to find out. Go Vols!

Nope, opinions are only fine if they fall in line with the king of not-failing. His name is Sparty, and he may also be God.

:banghead2::mf_surrender: Butch Jones sucks, Tennessee won't win a game next year. emainvol said so. Move along.

Your opinions are fine. They just make you look like you have a loser personality and are always whining and acting like an ***hole.
I'm just forming my opinion, just as you are. If you don't like for people to attack your stance, stfu.

No, what is ridiculous is you guys getting your panties in a wad because someone dares to say something negative about your boy Butch. Like I have said over and over, the optimism doesn't bother me, it's the attitude that we are somehow stupid and inferior because we don't agree with it that does.

Sorry, but like I tell my two kids, no one can make you feel stupid or inferior but you.

:hi:

And you are whining about my apparent whining, but since I am such a failure, I guess that's my fault.

Like I said, I hope I am wrong but I'm confident that I am not. It's not my fault that you guys are apparently so easily offended.

But according to Sparty I should recognize failures, because I am one, as evidenced by my attempting to start my car with a tasty waffle this morning.

What are your presumptions based on? By all accounts his record is indicative of a winner.

You know what's funny. The guy that called me a failure is now calling ME an *******. I mean, he's right, I am an *******, but he should probably change his name to TalkingPotVol.

I don't know any successful people that have a general crappy attitude and that's all I see from you. I can't even make a comment about Klein having a bad game for the Preds without you jumping in and talking about panties in a wad.

That's jmo and doesn't mean anything to you anyway, so why bring it up 3 more times after I post it.

Because I like calling people out on their stupid ****. Didn't you get that message, or did I fail to make it clear? My money is on me failing.

I didn't call you a failure. I said your bs attitude will prevent you from having success.
If you haven't found that out already, you will. No way you have such a loser mentality on here that doesn't bleed over into how you act daily.

Maybe you really are this dumb.

It doesn't seem that hard to figure out to me. These guys are professional coaches. There are no VFLs, just VFNs. (Vol For Now)

CBJ needed to retain someone from the old staff. It's fairly common in transitions. I guess JG was the best candidate. The whole "not retained, RE-HIRED" thing is just part of the sunshine blowing that CBJ does. It was probably the best offer JG thought he would get at the time, and he took it. It's all good with me.

There is a reason new HCs bring their guys with them. Hart basically hired the whole "system." So, JG was on the outside looking in from day one. Once he saw how it was going to be, he probably figured it wasn't a good fit for him. He got another offer that worked money and career-wise, so he bolted.

It's not that big of a deal, really. It's just business.

Martin turned a team around before he got here. Jones followed in the footsteps on one of the best coaches in America and didn't even hold serve

That's a pretty illogical statement- didn't even hold serve when following in the footsteps of one of the best coaches in America? Your point would've been better made if he couldn't even hold serve following an average or mediocre coach. Next, Butch's winning % was actually better at Central Michigan (67% to 54%) and he was very respectable at Cincy where after a tough first year (4-8 after some have said that Kelly left the talent cupboard bare there)his teams went 10-3 in both of the next 2 years. I'd say that's pretty damn close to holding the serve of one of the best coaches in America. Of course you're gonna say my point/the empirical evidence is sh***y, I'm sh***y, CBJ is sh***ty .....

just like with his leaving UT, I'm not going to put too much importance on the RB coach in the success/failure of an entire program. The RB's he inherited ran well and appeared to improve while he was here. Other than that I'm not sure his impact can really be measured

The players he coached vastly improved over their performance from a year before, I'd say that's a pretty significant impact.

If we truly matched the offer, then apparently Jay didn't want to be here. The "why" is what worries me. I find it hard to believe it's his work ethic as he outrecruited the rest of the staff this year. Let's not forget, he doesn't just recruit RBs. He was key in signing some players at other positions. And every interview I've read has the RB prospects showing him much respect. I believe some this past season said Graham was the only reason they gave UT a look. Spin it as you will, but Jay leaving is a big hit as we once more show our instability as a program.

As I said, I don't believe it's Jay's work ethic as evidence does not support that, contradicts it actually. So what is Jay seeing that we on the outside are not? Makes me worry.
