Ainge going off on Graham!

It doesn't seem that hard to figure out to me. These guys are professional coaches. There are no VFLs, just VFNs. (Vol For Now)

CBJ needed to retain someone from the old staff. It's fairly common in transitions. I guess JG was the best candidate. The whole "not retained, RE-HIRED" thing is just part of the sunshine blowing that CBJ does. It was probably the best offer JG thought he would get at the time, and he took it. It's all good with me.

There is a reason new HCs bring their guys with them. Hart basically hired the whole "system." So, JG was on the outside looking in from day one. Once he saw how it was going to be, he probably figured it wasn't a good fit for him. He got another offer that worked money and career-wise, so he bolted.

It's not that big of a deal, really. It's just business.

Saying that he Re-hired Graham and not retained him was CBJ being gracious to and complimentary of Graham. I don't think that's sunshine pumping, that's being a good manager.

Believe me, I want Butch Jones to be successful. I just know better than to expect it, because it isn't going to happen.

That came across in your multiple "F Butch Jones" comments. No matter that it's not his fault J Gruden didn't want to come, CDD sank the ship, etc... It's his fault. Let's find some more expletives for how much we hope he succeeds.

Sure, I hope he butt ****s Florida and Bama and I have to tell all of you that I'm wrong.

I didn't call you a failure. I said your bs attitude will prevent you from having success.
If you haven't found that out already, you will. No way you have such a loser mentality on here that doesn't bleed over into how you act daily.

I guarantee you he doesn't act like this beyond the safety of anonymity.

That's a pretty illogical statement- didn't even hold serve when following in the footsteps of one of the best coaches in America? Your point would've been better made if he couldn't even hold serve following an average or mediocre coach. Next, Butch's winning % was actually better at Central Michigan (67% to 54%) and he was very respectable at Cincy where after a tough first year (4-8 after some have said that Kelly left the talent cupboard bare there)his teams went 10-3 in both of the next 2 years. I'd say that's pretty damn close to holding the serve of one of the best coaches in America. Of course you're gonna say my point/the empirical evidence is sh***y, I'm sh***y, CBJ is sh***ty .....

The point was, it wasn't like he inherited a broken down program.

Nope, opinions are only fine if they fall in line with the king of not-failing. His name is Sparty, and he may also be God.

Click your orange slippers three times and say "I think he can win. I think he can win. I think he can win." That will make everything right in the Vol universe, you negative bastage.

Gonna score this one to emain over spartacus. About 100-0.

People who think a .667 Big East coach is going to come in and resurrect a program in the SEC would almost believe anything, even in Derek Dooley. (As was said in another thread yesterday, our own stupidity is to blame for the shape this program is in.)

legions of doom always support each other.

And by the way, it's my university, not yours. You have nothing to do with UT. Not a student. Not an alumnus. Not a season ticket holder. Not a donor. Just a ky citizen that had to choose a football team a few years ago, picked the vols, and now bless us with your brilliance.

Yah. Impossible...

Nick Saban:

That's about a 62% record. He rebuilt an LSU team that lost 8 games the year before he got there.

Inconceivable!

It's amazing how much Sparty knows about people he has never met
