Right, like I'm the first person to bring up Ainge's addiction.. Get over yourself.

Sorry d!ck I have a cousin that drugs ruined her life....then she killed herself because of the shame and disgrace she thought she brought on all of us.

Tomorrow why don't you go to an elementary school and make fun of the special education kids. Then if you have time...go to the Puppy Zone on Kingston Pike and kick a few of them around like a soccer ball. Then maybe punch some babies in the face like Will Ferrel in "The Campaign" then call it a day.

So what coach could come in immediately with the same personal and be in contention for the East next year? I'm just saying that because even though all of you want to blame Dooley for everything this year it was one mistake that has haunted this team and that is the hiring of Sal and changing the scheme on D. Hiring a new coach isn't going to fix things right away I don't care who you are. Even Saban went 6-6 his first year and I don't think UT fans have that patience.

I believe a good "x's and o's" coach would have won the UGA, MSU, and USCe games this year. I may even argue the UF game. However DD didn't. We lost. I think (insert big name coach here) would have been worth those wins.

You realize a 30k loss in attendance on average loses the UTAD around 10 million right? The home schedule is a pretty rough sale next year and an impossible sale with Dooley back. It is more a financial loss to keep him than to bring him back.

Not to mention the buyout only drops from 5 to 4 mil if they keep the orange highwaters around for another season

No offense, but the reason there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth is because people who love the Vols are tired of being less than mediocre or pulling up the rear of the SEC.

It would worry me if people weren't pissed.

Who knows Saban changed his mind. If we do not get Gruden we should pursue Charlie Strong and too me he is a big name.

Because then it let's them know we don't care if we win or not so why should they invest in coaching because we will pay regardless?

After lurking in this thread and under a few other threads, including Gruden ones, I now think that 90% of you people are flat out nuts. Some in a good way. Some not.

Not true. Some of us have season tickets and use them EVERY GAME, EVERY YEAR. And many of us do not live in Knoxville and it requires a commitment on our part. You sir, are the clown.

This. You can support the players and the school without giving a rat's ass about a coach. We brag about tradition. What's the tradition in "I quit cause the team ain't winning." Sounds like the FL fans we make/made fun of, IMO.

This too. That's a tradition we hold dearest.

And most of us true fan season ticket holders didn't go this weekend.
