What is the “BCA” that keeps getting referenced?
And yeah her career as a LEO is over and I’d guess she’s going to jail also. Additionally there is gonna be a large wrongful death suit against the city. This was clearly not justified, even though she meant to use her TASER instead of sidearm. She simply cannot have that bad of a day, the cost of an error of that magnitude is too high.
He did nothing that warranted shooting him. No he shouldn’t have fled. But that doesn’t excuse the HUMONGOUS error made by the officer in response.
Oh BTW. Only one person’s life is ruined here. The other one’s is over.He should not have fled. This discussion wouldn't be taking place had that simple task been followed, two people's lives would not have been ruined.
Simply fleeing from police is not a reason to be shot and killed. Legally or morally. Not in this country. Unless you have committed a violent crime or are at risk to do so. They had all this kids information, if they felt is was too dangerous for a pursuit, they didn't have to.He should not have fled. This discussion wouldn't be taking place had that simple task been followed, two people's lives would not have been ruined.
Found video...
Looks like both to me.
Clear justification of use of force of taser, clear felonies by the suspect, looks like a LACK OF TRAINING on handcuffing by the male officer.
Female officer panicked and pulled wrong weapon and DROPPED THE FIREARM after the shooting. Just like Oscar Grant situation.
Criminal was idiotic and caused the incident to escalate, other officer was too timid but did nothing legally wrong, it's negligence on the female officer's fault. Looks like civil matter more than anything and she will be fired and whomever signed off on that godawful training on BOTH of them!
So TASE him then. Don’t shoot him FFS!
Well he did commit at least two violent crimes, one with a firearm previously.Simply fleeing from police is not a reason to be shot and killed. Legally or morally. Not in this country. Unless you have committed a violent crime or are at risk to do so. They had all this kids information, if they felt is was too dangerous for a pursuit, they didn't have to.
Other than you just now who the hell said it did?!Both sides should be accounted for.
The woman officer most likely panicked and shot him due to adrenaline. The kid had an active warrant and didn’t listen to the officers’ order.
A combination of ignorance and bad training for that female officer caused this minor situation to turn into a huge country wide problem.
This has nothing to due with racism.
