AJC is going to take down uga.

Plenty of people have told me over the years on here that the AJC was a bunch of UGA homers and I've consistently, as someone who has read the paper for 25 years said that it isn't. I don't think they have any duty to protect anyone, just pointing out that it ought to be crystal f-ing clear now to everyone that they don't. Can't say the same for al.com.
No real journalists and media should be protecting ANYONE! The fundamentals of investigative journalism must be restored along with free speech!

That was less juicy than I hoped.
I found this part particularly interesting:

"Gantt has been in contact with court officials on 82 separate legal matters involving players between 2016 and 2023 and records show a cozy relationship with local authorities."

The UGA staff legal fixer (Gantt) has been in contact with local law enforcement to deal with an incident almost once a month for the past 7 and a half years. And that's only what is on the record. How many informal conversations have occurred is anyone's guess.

I think that has some juice.

As Josh Pate said, the AJC covers UGA like they are running for office against them. Anyone who has ever accused the AJC of being a UGA homer paper needs to prepare their apology. Can you imagine al.com running a story like that in Saban? The Bammers would burn it to the ground. Atlanta is a different place.
^Here comes the troll to stan for GA. Every. single. time.

^Having been identified yet again for what he is, he shifts into "concern troll" mode.

He so "hoped" that there would be something there but now his vast hopes are dashed because it's basically nothing. (Compare #5.)

This is the ploy where you're supposed to be swindled by the manifest GA troll that he is not a GA troll.

He’s completely right. Atlanta is a different planet compared to Birmingham.
You deem that an adequate response to (#5) or just a way to change the subject? Because it's in no way a response to #5 and it is a vivid attempt to change the subject.

What do you think about the subject matter of the article?

No earthly idea what you’re talking about.

I even linked the post: (#5)

I’m just commenting in a thread. Not sure how I’m supposedly changing the subject. Atlanta is a very different place as far as the scope and size of the market from most other places in the SEC, so they’re going to play it a lot more objectively. Not exactly a hot take.

These kind of exposés seem to follow championship programs, but Kirby clearly has some issues in his program with a “permissive” culture and the light is just going to get brighter. It’s hard to ignore the pattern in the AJC article; especially alongside other recent events.

Remember Cornbread's approach to Player Discipline ? He & Kirby went to the same school to learn that. The Saban Alabama School of How to cover up player transgressions.
It is pretty amazing how all these former Bama coaches magically start cheating and covering things up when they leave Tuscaloosa, isn't it? No trace of it in T town. Not a word.

Unless Kirby knew something horrible was going on I don’t like trying to pin this on him. Fulmer is a good Christian man, but some of his players did some pretty bad stuff…, you can’t stop it all

Aww, did I hurt your little feelings?

Nope. After all we do want to know when there's rot.
Neither should they attack them. They should just be fair and honest.
The AJC's doing great work. They are also not a hometown paper, UGA is not located in Atlanta. It'd be odd to see a hometown paper do this. It's why I compared this to al.com, not the Tuscaloosa News.
