You can't look too much into the schools looking at him since he is JUCO. Most big schools will not waste there time with a guy they don't need that will only be there for two years. The people who offer him will be the schools with the biggest needs at DT, like us.

I cant think of one school other than USC that would turn down a stud DT no matter if he was juco or not.

Im thinking that Hicks might need to put on some weight to play in the SEC

Relax guys. We will pick up at least 2 to 3 quality bodies at DT and we also have Cory Hall coming in and he sounds like a Justin Tuck-type beast that could play DE or DT. We also have William Brimfield who could be converted back to DT.

If our coaching staff is able to recruit a top 10 class, display an explosive offense and get 9 or more wins then we should be able to recruit top tier DL talent for 2010. I think we also have another DT or 2 that is playing juco right now but I can't remember their names. Anyway, we might be weaker than usual for a year but success will bring recruits and our new coaching staff is already recruiting well with no proven success.

LOL, my bad. We will lose to UCLA to start the year. Then an un-named major contributor will get injured against UAB and we will lose to UF. Alabama will beat us by 1 more point than last year, UGA and Auburn will stomp us and KY will finally break the streak. We will go
5 and 6 like 2005, all of our current verbals will renig and we will have the worst recruiting class of all time thus resulting in us having to play walk-ons across the entire DL.

I'd love to see a guy like Brimfield, with his size, at DT. What a monster! However, if he didn't cut it on D the first time around I'm not very confident he has any future there.

And Phil will be gone :dance2:...........:no1: Phil will recieve a life-time contract and we will be mediocre until he dies.

To this point Hicks has received six Division I scholarship offers from South Florida, Tennessee, Kansas State, Oregon, Purdue and Arizona. He lists his final four as Tennessee, Oregon, South Florida and Arizona.

In the article he says distance is not a factor.

Lets see, he's considering Tennessee, Oregon, South Florida, and Arizona.

You would think with us being Tennessee we could easily snag this kid.

I mean come on, its not like were fighting USC, LSU and Texas for his services.

According to Scout they are in competition with us, about being on the decline I have no idea. We are the best team on his list though :)

Arizona should never be able to pull a recruit from the other 49 states not called Arizona over Tennessee. Thusly, they aren't competition. I think Oregon is the biggest worry.

We are in his top two, along with Oregon. He and Hall could really come in and turn the d-line around, at least by adding instant depth.

As already stated, Oregon and UT are his top two. He did state that distance would not be a factor. One of the mods are Volquest said that he sees it eventually coming down to us and Oregon, with us getting the nod because of Hicks interest in school tradition.
