A Hicks commit would be huge for this class. We just need a few more D-linemen with him besides Sykes, Hall, and Williams.

I feel we get Hicks.Another one UT is looking at hard is Corey Gaines from Fl. Played both sides of the ball and has all the tools for D/T;6' 274 lbs and has the speed to match.UT ends up with IMO...............

Wilkes,Bonds,Lowe,White,Hicks and Swearinger,and with a little luck Gaines.

On the wish list.....

Eric Gordon,Craig Drummond,Quinton Washington !!!

Lowe isn't coming to UT

Vols are done with OL if White commits (they'll obviously still pursue Moses though)

I don't know if we were gonna take him at this point anyways. White is close to committing and the only other OL that we would take for sure is Moses.

At this point, yes. It'll come down to UT and Oregon for Hicks. The only way we lose out on Akiem, imo, is if he decides he wants to stay closer to his family. I think White will commit within the next month. Again, he may decide to stay closer to home and play at Maryland, but I think we landed him with this visit.

couldn't get it done this weekend. concerned about him making Oregon trip before coming to Knoxville. Knoxville might not happen if he gets to Eugene. that is a concern...

this kids recruiting is pretty confusing to me.
I would like to see him commit somewhere soon so we can focus our efforts and limited number of visits to others. I want this kid, but what does Oregon offer?

I'm under the opinion the Herbert committment made Hicks think a little more. I would hope not because I think we need both and would love to see a Hicks and Herbert combination, and we still could, but I think Herbert has made him a little concerned.

I wonder if we're backing off a little because we got Herbert, maybe the staff was only looking for 1 Juco DT. I say one Juco DT because I'm one of the few who would like to see Hall stay at DE.

Oregon has some amazing facilities....that is one place you would really like to keep a kid from visiting. Our facilities are great too I hear, but I think that Oregon is over the top.

Yeah, they probably have the best facilities in the country. I remember Gameday did a special on their facilities last year.
