Well then people will complain about bumps during the offseason...which apparently doesn't ever matterSurely this on3 report means he gets bumped to a five star? He is literally two spots away from being a 5★ on On3's website. He is the second highest rated four star right now. You can't write a report like this and not bump..
How do you know that Ross doesn’t care about his rating? Besides that, what’s wrong with wanting a player to get his due recognition? Ross is obviously proving himself to be an elite player. I don’t get why some of you don’t want our recruits to get the respect they deserve? Why do people care so much about his rating? Literally meaningless the second he steps on campus.

Sorry but ratings do matter when they step foot on campus. Let’s use Ross. He is a 5* on 247 and the #3 EDGE player per the composite. Now let’s say we had a 3* EDGE that was maybe the #30th EDGE guy. Which one is more likely to be ready and prepared to play at a high level? It’s the 5*. Plus the 5* is a recognition of a players hard work and dedication. It also helps with the perception of the program. Why is UGA and Bama the most respected powerhouses? Because they win the most. Why do they win the most? Because of their high 4 and 5* players.
Not many players come out of Vestavia Hills. It’s the one non crimson tide suburb in Birmingham. If you want to pull a 5 star out of Birmingham, that’s the best location for one to beName one other player we have ever got out of Vestavia Hills. Hell yes, I am surprised. Kids only leave Hoover or the south side of Birmingham when Alabama says so.
Ok..context needed..last year, when people were saying that JP may leave for greener pastures, not when he came out of HS..a lot of folks were like "that sucks, but no big deal, next man up" ...I was the one that was the loudest saying it was a huge deal, that JP was going to become one of the best pass rushers we've seen here, and if we let him get away that we would always regret it.I have a hard time believing you were the only one hyping up Pearce, the 5 star lol
