'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

You mean Like QB brothers Austin and Brandon Allen who were coached by Alabama's QB coach Dan Enos at Arkansas and are now in the NFL?

Yeah, that'd be terrible for Taulia, especially when you think about the talent level of coaches and teammates, chances of winning, being drafted, etc. that Taulia would have at Bama. He'd be insane to choose that.

We thought you were leaving.:disappointed:

Austin didn't get drafted although he did get signed and Brandon was a 6th round pick, think UT current coaches are pretty talented themselves

So your saying those two brothers had another one of bears grandsons pushing them for playing time ? You can only have one great qb at a time that gets the lions share of playing time . “ too many cooks spoil the broth “

I'm sure he's always aspired to sign as an undrafted camp body to an NFL team...

His brother was MUCH more talented and was drafted in the 6th round... he wouldn't have a job if 3rd string QB wasn't a position in the NFL... so let's not sit here touting about QB coach this, QB coach that... Butch had better luck with QBs lol

... and I don't remember the last time Alabama had a starting NFL QB, among all those 4-5* guys that sign there every year.

If I was actually any good, I'd go somewhere where I could play without handcuffs on, not a defense/run game school that's never done anything to progress my position...

add in 1-2 years of sitting behind his big brother and a straight ahead line to a starting gig as a freshman at UT, it's really not that difficult of a decision

They're both fortunate they survived playing at Arkansas behind their oline of human turnstiles.

I think we are starting to see a shift in the force, for some ( BUBBAs , Dawgs and gators ) it’s going to be some birthing Pains . The days of getting to hoard all the elite players are coming to an end . I believe in a couple of years those guys are going to have to work hard to keep CJP and staff from stock piling elite players . Just my two pennies .

Not to mention that Bama is about an hour or less from his home and he's been spending every weekend there for over a year -- already "home" for him.

 He'd be insane to choose that.

Ready to lose another fight with Pruitt

 Tua isn't going to be handcuffed. He's going light it up. As a freshman, Taulia can be Tua's backup and get a good amount of PT. Then when Tua leaves for the NFL, Taulia will be all set to start as as soph and light it up too.

I think you’ll be happy with bears grandson starting after Tua leaves it will be fun to watch the brothers sling it against each other when they meet . We will be happy when Taulia beats big brother in Knoxville and he leads the band in Rocky Top 😊

Or Tyson beats them both out.
No way Tyson can beat out Tua. Idk if there are any current college QBs who could. And it's and not likely Tyson can beat out Taulia. He's tall but that's about his only advantage. In terms of QB skills, Taulia is considerably better than Tyson.

Tua hasn't even won the position battle over Hurts yet and now he's gonna rocketship to the NFL after his Junior year?

He's played garbage time and one half of good football, let's settle down...

And yes... handcuffs... They wouldn't let AJ McCarron pass on 3rd and 12 till his Senior season

You're bragging about your QB coach? You realize the players you mentioned, one was a 6th round pick, and the other was a UFA. What's his sales pitch? Hey Taulia, come to Bama and with any luck, I can get you drafted.

Compare to Helton, who spent the last two years coaching Sam Darnold. You know, the third overall pick in this year's draft.

I get selling your team. No one can deny Bama's success as a team. But selling your QB coach? And talking about the NFL? Remind me once again the last time a Bama QB actually made a splash in the NFL?

I support your argument 100% but you and I both know after seeing the tools he has, he will be a good one...
it was his coverage ID that won them the game in last play... look the 2 Hi safety over let him melt and pop it in the window for a TD.

And hand cuffs is a perfect way to put it... they haven’t had a true QB guy (coach) there in awhile outside of Kiffin and he didn’t have the talent needed to get one in the NFL...

Talk about eye discipline...

One good half is enough to guarantee success. Remember that Ohio State QB that crushed it after all the other QB's got hurt. Surely he is a Pro Bowl QB by now.

Kiffin is overrated as a QB coach. He's no QB whisperer by any stretch of the imagination. What he's good at is tailoring the offense to fit his QBs strengths and minimize the adverse impact of his weaknesses.

Saban opted for Enos over Dan Werner, so I figure he's probably a good QB coach. Helton, might be too. Idk who else he's coached besides Darnold, but Darnold was already a special talent coming out of HS. Same with Tua. The only thing that kept Tua from taking over as the starter sooner was his knack for throwing too many picks in practice. He gradually got better about not doing that.
