'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

What is funny about that is that nobody that knows me would ever call me a quitter. Even when I know I'm gonna lose at something, I'm still all out till it's over. I am a rage against the dying of the light kind of personality.

You’ve utilized “quitter” a little freely, yourself. Swim in that pool...:hmm:

“Strange”.
He retorted that.... yes... but...

Nobody is crying and nobody is calling Helton a buffoon that I’ve seen. But something is clearly wrong with our QB recruiting

It's all good though Bass :hi:

We picked up an on the rise Elite 11 QB that's been nothing but impressive in camps and has mobility... a slightly odd release some of the time and he's too comfortable throwing off his back foot... but it's not Jake Plummer/Philip Rivers unfixable, and even if it's a little Tim Tebowish, it's not as severe and Tebow still set the completion%, touchdown:int ratio, and efficiency records for the SEC...

I did notice when his OL doesn't directly flop backwards off the snap, the weird arm motion isn't as present... When he was actually clean in the pocket, there were some textbook Peyton Manning "bend the arm to 90 degrees, throw with a step, windup, follow through, release and top of the arc" throws. That tells me it's more of a panic improvisational mechanic than an active muscle memory thing... and likely why his film wouldn't look as good as his camp would...

He's got future starter potential if he develops IMO... Obviously he's not a true freshman starter, but as a redshirt sophomore, I could see him getting first team reps in the spring. That's the best any college QB can hope for that isn't breaking the ranking systems out of high school...

The thing is, in a HUDL highlight reel, you don't see the lowlights... so I know how good and accurate he can be, and most of his passes in the highlight reel were spot on, but I imagine some of those int's were passes he floated into the wrong coverage... it's refreshing to see a high school QB with some finesse throws though, most are one-speed ponies...

Worth a scholarship IMO, we'll see how he develops

I have, and anybody that watched games last year and denies that a lot of guys quit is either a liar or an idiot. We have rehashed the WHY of it, and I guess they really did have no reason to hope to win games. It still irks me, but let's just drop it, it is obvious that they had enough fortitude to stick with the team, so let's hope that mentslity is all behind them.

You have said over and over again something is wrong with QB recruiting, and he provides you with a well written, thought out response and reasoning as to why that is not right, and you come back with a gif.

You're better than this.

I literally said it on one day. The only reason it was “over and over again” is because people questioned me on it. This is an example of the fake narratives and exaggeration that happens on this board. I’m happy we have Maurer. I’m also now confident coach will flip Tag. Let it go

You labeled a kid who applied himself and graduated early a quitter...merely because he considered moving on. Bet you hate Kennedy, huh? Now we can drop it.

Everyday of your life you go on a message board for one reason: to insult, poke, and prod at people. You never bring any info, you rarely offer even an opinion about he team or the recruits, you just go around finding someone to insult. I think there’s some things a therapist could help you with

Oh come on man..he's just being himself, and so are you. He is consistent with his stances.

Kennedy was not going to start while looking at the end of his career with little chance to move to the next level, nearly everybody believed DK was going to start.

DKjr sent out a tweet saying he was leaving, he changed his mind about it, and I changed mine about him. I never said he shouldn't be allowed to leave.

I was wrong..Now we can drop it.

You guys never disappoint. Get an email that we signed a QB. Get home go to vol nation and the one we didn’t sign is at the top of the page.

I am not trying to criticize him, and I absolutely agree that the circumstances were bad...BUT...He did whiff pretty hard on signing day. That is still true. I hope he isn't getting thrown a outside changeup when he is sittin on the inside fastball in the case of Taulia.

Its very possible he whiffs on Taulia but at least he is swinging.

I may be in the vast monitory, but I’d rather get Cornelius Brown than Tauilia. Seriously.

Because I’m heightist.

And because I think that he’d work with Maurer better than with Taulia Tagovailoa. Just IMAO.

I would like to have tag. But if we land CB im good with that too and HB may not see CB and BM as much competition and commit to us, because of there lower rank.

I'm with you. I really like CB. Although, since I agree with you, you're probably wrong.

We play well then we get him. What else should he say if he is a verbal commit? I am going to flip now. He will wait and see first.

So he said exactly what you'd expect him to say. Key point is that he came to visit because his dad wanted him to. Now why would he want that? He may stay at Bama, but there is smoke there.

Pretty sure Pruitt wouldn't have held back from taking CB if TT had said he was firmly committed to Bama. He already saw the shock waves the UT visit sent through Bamaland: if he does decommit he won't do it 5 months before his sr. season.
