'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

I think the next one we get is what started his BVS flare up . Somehow this kid gets an offer from us and urban cryer after camping for both and still ( according to some ) ends up just a warm body to fill a spot while we wait for Taulia to either make us all stars or peer recruit all of our best possibilities to Bama and leave us with a back up Qb after JG transfers out next year . This place is Bipolar and I love it . Maddening at times but there’s no place else you can say what you think and have this much fun for free 😂

Both Ulysses and Bass were borderline unbearable before the Wanya Morris commitment. Temporary relief before the next wave. :pinch: Damn good posters otherwise.

Its like heroin..the first 5 star commitment is the greatest high then every one after that is not quite as good and you need another in a shorter and shorter amount of time.

He was behind the eight ball last NSD, you know that, and considering the situation the class he signed was nothing short of miraculous.

It was only disappointing because he had us in late with elite players we weren't in with before so got some people's expectations up high. With a good season and longer relationships this time around it will be easier to win those battles this time.

If you add in what he has done after NSD to add to the class and at early signing period then it's impressive. Some folks forget those players for some reason

I think needing a top QB now is a misconception..... if Pru builds the defense, rbs, and o-line up enough. A serviceable COLLEGE QB can manage and win games.

Of course it would be awesome to have top 100 kids at every spot. If it doesn’t happen at the QB spot, I don’t think it’s a major blow.

That's certainly what They say

I still think TT flips... there's a lot of residual dust in the air that's settling on the Hill there... and Maurer is as good of a prospect at QB as anybody that's left in the '19 class...

...and then there's a bunch I like in '20 class... I don't see the rush... it's still VERY early in the recruiting process

What I hope they DON'T do is panic and give some random QB a 4-year scholarship that eats up a scholarship to be a 3rd string backup for his tenure here... that's just a waste of resources that you can't afford while you're trying to rebuild

Is your cousin "you?"

Edit: Son of a gun, I got newt'd. I promise, I didn't see his post.

The strangest thing about that is that he did better for early signing day than late. But, he still landed Peterson. I think he was just too late to the party to get those 5 star corners he was after. Then Saban flat lied to Smith to get him to choose Bama over us which was frustrating. Class was great tho considering the crap that happened with Haslam, Currie and the entire botched coaching hire and the 4-8 season. The class he’s building right now has potential to be great also.

🤔 I don’t remember this

“We NEED this one!” “We always lose out to Auburn.” “We have to start landing these type of recruits!” Something to that effect...over and over. It was like a BVS instructional cooperative effort...from two seasoned veterans. :boredom:

He was really confident going into signing day too..I'm not happy about pointing it out, but that did happen.

Look..I'm happy with Pruitt, I believe we got reaaly lucky with him, I just hope he doesn't go full Casey this time..

I was not really criticizing your analysis. It did not go well on signing day 2018. I just think he believes he is better than other coaches. I think it will be a different outcome this year.

I am not trying to criticize him, and I absolutely agree that the circumstances were bad...BUT...He did whiff pretty hard on signing day. That is still true. I hope he isn't getting thrown a outside changeup when he is sittin on the inside fastball in the case of Taulia.

Guilty as charged 🙄

We just differ on what whiffing entails. If it ain’t a grand slam, you head to the dugout instead of taking a base.

We need a slam when the next hitter is the .120 hitting defensive specialist backup utility infielder and nobodies left on the bench 😉

Cardinals beat the Rangers in the World Series when they were down to their final out in game 6 and they threw out pitchers to bat against Darren Oliver. If you were LaRussa, St Louis throws in the towel and has one less World Series to boast about. :hmm:

What is funny about that is that nobody that knows me would ever call me a quitter. Even when I know I'm gonna lose at something, I'm still all out till it's over. I am a rage against the dying of the light kind of personality.

Nobody cares on here. Once a narrative is put out there by some poster you’ve offended, whether the narrative is fake or not, it sticks and you become a quitter, or in my case someone who panics. It’s dumb.
