'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

It's just my opinion but I believe his father is orchestrating this as leverage to ensure Tua takes over as the starter. Hope I'm wrong. Would hate to lose out on other qbs waiting for an answer.

We apparently have a really good QB in the bag already. This guy is icing on the cake.

I don’t think orchestrating anything now would do him any good with his brother there looking to start then Bears grandson also waiting to show what he’s got . He’s either willing to wait in line at Bama or he flips because he has a better chance here to start .

My completely uniformed opinion is the situation between Tua and Hurts last season has placed a little doubt in the Tagovailoa family's mind about Saban, especially with Bears grandson as the other QB in Taus class. I buy into the rumors that Tua was going to transfer if he didn't play in the championship because he outplayed Hurts in practice.

I think that created enough of a chink in their relationship that we have a legit chance to flip Taulia, but it's all dependent on the on-field product

Taulia says he's happy at Bama. Says his family had a good relationship with Pruitt and his dad wanted to come visit.

But the player? He's happy at Bama. He says.

Nothing has changed. Bama publicly posted what Taulia has said all along. No new news. We're still in it cause, "just Pruitt." GBO

How much stock should be put into what a recruit says to AL.com reporters, though?
Should more or less stock be put into what the same recruit says to a UT beat reporter?

Taulia also said this today:

“100 percent. I'm going to be with my brother. My family is happy... I’m over there every weekend. It’s a family environment over there. For sure, I’m going to play at Alabama under Coach Saban, and we’re going to win a lot of championships.”

Why ride the bench behind his brother? He won’t play a down at Bama except mop up duty.

Plus their QB development sucks.

Just my opinion.

You know nothing we don't. Ty

FYP

You're right . I have zero inside information. I only know the videos and documentaries I've watched on the Tago family. I've posted proof in this thread of the love the Tago family has for Bama. I admire their faith and unity so I researched deeper. I'm not calling anything it isn't as if it was. The public fact is this: He has never waivered in his commitment to Bama. As another poster said, we're in it until JP pulls another QB.

So then why did he visit UT, knowing that it would cause drama?

Yet no UT fans are trolling the TT threads on the bama boards. Why are you sweating it?

I'm not trolling. I simply posted what Taulia said to a reporter today at The Opening Finals. He's also peer recruiting guys to Bama at the opening. I'm not sweating it and I haven't at all.

Again, him saying that to reporters in June means nothing. If he actually told Pruitt that then that is something else, but if he actually did, then you have to wonder why Pruitt wouldn't let Cornelius Brown commit if he supposedly liked Brown so much? I personally think he would have taken the Brown commitment if Tualia had closed the door, so...
