'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

Oh My...Bless her 💓!

Imagine trading living in Hawaii for Alabama
The Tagovialova family is very happy where they are.

I grew up in Huntsville, but we also had cattle farms with homes near Elkton, TN. As a kid, I also spent a lot of summer time with my best friend in Monteagle, Ft. Payne, Sand Mtn. & Lookout Mtn. Loved all of that.

As an adult I've lived in Atlanta (Buckhead), downtown Chicago, St. Pete Beach, and Ft. Walton Beach. Fished and hunted throughout the North GA mountains. Loved all of that.

I've traveled most of the USA incl. Hawaii & Puerto Rico as well as The Bahamas, Mexico, England, France, Italy and much of East Asia. Loved all of that.

I'd choose to live in Florida or another SE state, Puerto Rico or elsewhere in the Carribean vs Hawaii. It's way too isolated.

I've traveled all over Alabama and Tennessee a lot. Both have nice and not so nice areas. Any negatives one cares to point out for either state also apply to the other one, imo.

yeah but y'all don't have Nashville hot chicken

Best bar-b-que ever on this planet was Russell's, a tin roof shed pit, about three miles east of the Shady Lawn Truckstop side of the Elkton, TN exit on I-65. On weekends, people would drive all the way from Nashville to buy loads of it.

Willard Russell, a crazy & funny, whisky lovin' old hick, owned it and a tiny country store right across the road. His wife made the awesome spicy cole slaw and equally awesome bar-b-que sauce. They loved my mom and stepfather as much as anyone, but she wouldn't share her secret recipes. They're all dead now, including the recipes. Sadly.

I live in Ardmore...remember it well....still there but under the name corner pit BBQ...they still use some of the same sauces. Good stuff

damn, that sounds good. Always saddens me when people take recipes to the grave. Food's meant to be shared w/ the world

 Tua is the starting QB going forward, already a media datling and among the favorites in way-to-early Hypesman Award discussions.

 Rumors. Fake news.

Their parents moved all the way from Hawaii to Alabama because UA is where their sons will be.

If Pruitt wants to waste his time, it's ok by me.

The University played a huge part in getting them to Alabaster, dont get it twisted. It wasn't all on the Tagovailoa dime, I can promise you. It's no coincidence he ended up at Thompson, who has never been a powerhouse until the school loaded up on Former Alabama players and graduates.Tua was leaving if he didn't get the job moving forward. I have little connections at UT, but plenty in Tuscalooser. Tua's brother, like you said definitely ends up at Alabama. UAT invested too much in that family for it not to happen. He's gonna be the starter moving ahead for numerous reasons.

One thing you're not going to do is spread false reports...once Tua decided to go to Bama the family started looking into schools for the kids to go to. They researched a lot of places in the bham area and picked Thompson. The Bama connection of the coaches being alums of UA had nothing to do with it. Those coaches had already been in place for 3 years. Thompson has always had athletes in the school just never had a coach to get them out to play football until now.

Oh really? Where? I grew up in Belvidere/Huntland area. Had a lot of friends in Winchester.

I grew up in Tullahoma and then Winchester. Had my first sit down beer at Tubby's in Sewanee when I was about 15.
Tubby's was pretty wild in the early 70's (until it got blown up or burned. Can't remember which)

Also, they have a Hattie B's in Birmingham. I am both sad, because I wanted to prop up your argument, and happy about this, because my girlfriend lives in Birmingham.

Mmm, I suppose Tyson is a bigger legacy. I'm greedy. Want both. Tough to pull that off tho. I think Taulia is probably higher on the recruiting board.

Are there any of you Turd fans not greedy? It’s a common theme

Higher on the board versus pressure to take the Legacy who’s actually a very good QB that fits your system?

It’s beyond a legacy it’s a LEGEND’s great grandson who has a USC(Not SCAR)Offer at QB.

If we get one and as long as the other leaves the SEC I will be fine with that.
