Disagree. You have to set some type of boundary. We lose a counter for kids signed to an NLI. We have to go through a waiver process to even get that counter back and it can be denied.Hate to lose a potentially good player, but if he doesn’t want to be here, let him out completely.

Kids should have penalties too especially ones that signed to go to a school and take it back before they ever make it to the school.
He is mad because he wants him to be able to go to Auburn and everyone knows it. All the schools do this not just TN
Kids have 4 years to play. Coaches can have a lifetime if they win.
Do right by the kids and let him play where he wants. He was very likely misled and signed under a completely different staff. He shouldn’t be forced to sit a year because coaches like to tell lies.
agreed. not exactly the same since these didn't involve NLI releases, but in terms of schools wanting to make things difficult for kids to leave in general, Georgia did this with Cade Mays. Michigan did it with Solomon. Georgia did have the issue with the running back that wanted out of his NLI last year, or year before, can't remember which....He is mad because he wants him to be able to go to Auburn and everyone knows it. Guess kids shouldn’t commit to a coach and then leave before they ever make it to the school. Pretty “petty” on the kid.
