What supposedly led up to this shooting? I think I heard the victim was female? Possible domestic situation?

Not sure if its true/real, but there was a post circulating from the victims mother where she said, they shot her because she wouldnt talk to them. So, sounds like they were trying to get some and she denied them and they got mad and shot her.

So the so called kid is carrying a weapon and shoots a young lady for nothing! WTH are you taking up for him for? I hate it for both but that is just stupid! These over privileged players get everything and still do crap like this! He should never get out of prison!

Do we know the full story on this? Did the kid maybe make a poor choice and was just along for the ride with some really bad dudes?

It seems to be the defense he is going to mount based off the brief comment I read from his attorney.

Teachers unions have way too much sway and once tenure is achieved, it's all over

Throwing more and more good money after bad cannot be the solution. Never has been, never will be.


Been a while, but those "joke" classes in high school taught by the football or basketball coaches using form multiple choice exams from 1962 were beyond horrible. Sit in those classes daily for a year and learn absolutely nothing. Could have learned more by simply staying at home for an additional hour and watching the History channel.

I really hope that's the case. I know with a lot of these young guys, they just get caught up in the wrong crowd. I'm very sorry for the victim, and she should take priority, but I hope this young man was just in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people.

Nowhere in my post am I taking up for him. Some people perhaps see more than others in life. What they did was terrible and to many unforgivable. Too many lives are taken early and these kids deserve to be punished for it. But I never took up for him.

I keep hearing this line of thought, and I have a legitimate question.

WHY did you hope that Darius is the good kid just hanging with a violent thug?

I don't understand this. IF the story of a young woman being gunned down in a car she was riding in. And assuming the family posts are accurate that her "crime" was saying "No" to these twos advances. What is possibly so important about the other guy being murderous and Darius being only along for there ride? Why is he so important?

Is it because he can dribble a ball, shoot from the arc, and wear a pretty uniform on TV?

At least one is a murderer. In light of a young beautiful woman's life, why it's it so important that the thug is someone else?

I viewed his arrest and heard him crying as they were leading him to the car, but I couldn't make out what he was saying. Thought I heard the word "love", but can't be sure. Did those 2 have a history/relationship? Hard to imagine that a rejection could lead a kid to actually shoot a girl for it. Have we come to that point in this society?
