He's an average coach so far to me. Alabama was intense, fired up, ready to compete. They didn't fold when they were missing shots.

Also horrible coaching of how to bring the ball up when pressed. Usually had 15 seconds on the shot clock left... Lol

1,000,000 percent disagree with this is not on the coach. the coach gets the team ready he has the game plan he sets the tone and the tone was set to sit back and let our Bama control it with their full court defense we broke the press and did not attack it was a horrible game plan.

Our fans are just sick of losing a few bad seasons will do this to a fan. we have endured much of that over the past few years. we are sick of losing when will people on this board understand that. Tennessee never gets respect cause when it comes down to it 98% of the time we choke and can't deliver when the cat is in the bag if we just win one game. Don't matter what sport.

When we did break we missed open layups and free throws.

....what else is new? Anytime TN plays AL in ANYTHING, 95% of the time, we lose. I would have bet $10,000.00 today that they would lose again....sad that I could win a lot of money betting that my team will lose. It just absolutely amazes me...we can beat other teams but when it comes to AL (the one I want to beat more than anyone) we choke!!!

We won 20 games without our leader. Martin is in his second year. Don't blame our history on him.

The only positive to take away is the fact we did adjust our offensive gameplan at halftime. We worked the ball into the paint off the drive or pass more in the 2nd half. We just didn't make shots. We missed enough layups and FTs to lose three games. We looked scared to death bringing the ball up against their press.

If I'm an opposing coach, the blueprint for beating us is in this game film. Zone us on defense, press us after made baskets, and keep us out of the paint.
It's really a simple plan, and we fell victim to it many times early in the season, as well as today. We settled for too many 3's early, and dug a hole we couldn't get out of because of silly fouls, TOs, and a general disinterest and lack of purpose.

All in all, another disappointing loss in the SEC tournament in a game we could have won with a little more effort and urgency.

It was just a bad game all around. Nothing went our way, these games happen. This game does not define this team or coaching staff. Let's hope we make the dance and can shock a few teams. We could be a popular upset pick in the first few rounds.

Women's softball team took 2 of 3 last weekend from Bama. Lol

Not worth fighting over or firing the coach, we just didnt have an answer for their press, their zone, their high screen or their energy. Today we sucked. Play like this and Im not so sure we dont get embarrased in the tourney. In fact, I dont think we are getting in after this egg. We are NIT bound, gentelmen...
