Alabama transfers

they are going to have more players leave and this hurts them no doubt BUT, they do still have 57 four and five star players on the roster. I imagine the staff will play the portal harder than Saban did.

I'm not sure they lose a "lot of games" although 3 losses would be a lot for them. Mostly depends on how well the staff develops them within new systems. They will still have lots of talent
It won’t be near the same. Think Bama of the 80’s.

Needs to make quick route-tree reads, air-raid style. He’s a mobile gunslinger. Totally different ballgame.
So you're saying a professional coach is unable to tailor his offense to fit the young men that he coaches? A good coach can tailor the offense.

I feel real bad for Alabama.. Not.. They're going to basically lose a recruiting class when this is all said and done and a lot of their best players. I wouldn't count them out for next year but they're going to be up against it in a lot of ways. The sister wive beatings will be at a all time high next year.

Some of us old hats remember when Alabama was a yearly win before Saban got there. I expect it will be that again. All those Alabama football-Duke Basketball-NY Yankees-Dallas Cowboy combo fans are gonna have to peel that ugly ass A of their vehicle.

One, I didn’t say that. I’m answering as to why Milroe isn’t a fit for that particular offense.

Two, if a coach finds a general scheme that works for them they roll with it. You can make modifications to accommodate personnel (like Heupel did this year with all the screens) but you’re not gonna go from a spread to Power-I for a year or 4-2-5 to 3-4 because you have a FB or few LBs you like.

You’re going to take your scheme and recruit to it. Just like Heupel has here.

I laughed when they hired Gene Stallings. He'd been fired from every job he'd had before but it took 5 years and Tennessee firing Majors to beat the SOB. I'll enjoy it when the clock hits 0:00 and the Vols are ahead.
I wander what the appeal was hiring Stallings 30+ yrs ago for them? I just looked up his history and it was alot of losing before bammer.
