Yeah. Nothing wrong with Butch's Champions of Life statement... it just wasn't being said by a John Wooden or a Tom Landry whose professional and private life reinforced its validity.

Ya know, I am confused by this. From what I can tell, we haven’t been talking to any of these Bama players. Anyone with insight have an explanation as to why? There are some good prospects, especially defensively, that I feel we should at least call. Granted maybe we have, but from reporting, it seems we haven’t.

“From what you can tell” might just be your answer.

Also this cat is saying he’s not taking any visits. What’s the staff supposed to do with that?

Edit: also a little context - FL was in his final 3 and he said was his dream school and liked the appeal of playing close to home. And LSU just hired the guy who was the DB coach at FL. So that relationship is already built.

Nah this guy I get, but I’m curious about the others who aren’t as tied to coaches or teams close to home.

Didn't Heupel have less than 70 kids on scholarship his first year? Has he even had a full 85 in his tenure? We've started walk-ons and rejects at spots forever. Bama will still have one of the most talented rosters in the country but might not go 3 deep with 5 stars. It will still be more talented and deeper than ours. No need in crying for that bunch.

It won’t be more talented and deeper than ours without adequate replacements of all the transfers and those that left for the NFL draft.

Isn't Kaleb Beasley elite? What about Matthews or Gibson? Do you just make up scenarios for things you don't understand? There are 2 good corners that transferred to TN. Maybe you should ask the coaches to include you on their meetings about recruits.

In the ‘24 class, according to 247 composite, there were two 5* CB and two 5* S.

In the ‘23 class, there were two 5* CB and three 5* S.
