Wrestled in high school and was a Catcher at MTSU. Loved baseball but my heart has always been geared towards football... glad I got the degree though since I ended up going Army. Makes PT wayyy more enjoyable instead of just endlessly pounding pavement.
When were you a catcher at MTSU out of curiousity?Wrestled in high school and was a Catcher at MTSU. Pass rush can’t get to the QB in time if a receiver is literally wide open within a second of the snap.
Secondary needs work. We have guys that can get to the QB on this team. Still could use Verse but we need as many transfer DBs as we can get
It all works together hand in hand.. we need a defensive overhaulPass rush can’t get to the QB in time if a receiver is literally wide open within a second of the snap.

I get what you're saying. But we honestly just need a couple of guys that can consistently rush the passer. And just be slightly above average in the secondary. Need to build this defense like the Colts did when Manning was there. They're main objective was to build a lead by scoring points then pin the ears back and get sacks and force turnovers. That's how this defense will have to be geared moving forward. They don't have to be world beaters, just stay around 400 yards of defense or below. This 600+ yards a game is going to keep us at 7-5 as long as Huepel is the coach. Just that simple.I think we need 3 linebackers, 2 corners, 2 safeties, 2 defensive tackles, and two defensive ends.
I would prefer a defense like Peyton’s last year in Denver, personally…I get what you're saying. But we honestly just need a couple of guys that can consistently rush the passer. I think Taj Harris had to back off his Kentucky commitment due to academics. Not sure if true but that’s what they alluded to. Sign me up for the others though. My portal wish list is:
OT Gerald Mincey (enrolled)
WR Taj Harris
DE Jared Verse
LB Brandon Jennings
S Brandon Joseph
I think we have room for 5.
I somewhat disagree. It appeared to me that our pass rush was much better in the first quarter. Now, was that a product of them figuring out what we were doing or our guys getting gassed? Not sure on that.
