All four knew about the guns-----

I think he's done all he can do to this point. There's nothing he's done so far, outside of the silly "apology" to Pat Summit, that I would take issue with. The more I see of Hamilton getting in front of the cameras, the more I begin to believe this will be his decision. If federal charges are lodged, which they shouldn't be, the end game is easy to see. If not, it's tough to say. I can only really say what I would do, because I'm not privy to the internal discussions.

Well, what would YOU do? I'm undecided on the issue.

Records: UT players knew loaded guns in car picked up in Nashville GoVolsXtra

Brian Williams should man up and admit that the pot was his (which it clearly was) and the rest of the guys should get that dropped. No alcohol was in the front seats at all, so Big Brian could take the hit for the beer and the hypnotique also.

Whatever idiot tried to remove the magazine and put his fingers all over the guns is in a bad spot, except that there is nothing to indicate they bought the guns or that they knew that the serial number was defaced.

If Brian Williams ends up with open container, guns with intent to go armed and pot possession he should be booted IMO.

Cameron should get all charges except speeding dropped and should be reinstated after serving some games suspensed. Same could be true for Goins (whose beer was it his or Brians?) and same could be true for tyler.

My bottom line is that if I was in that car I would have demanded a breathalyzer and a drug test to show I was not involved in either activity. I doubt any of them demanded that because they probably were all involved in both...

Sad and stupid.

Brent Hubbs said that they are all out for the UNCC game and don't really expect to have any new information by the end of the week, so i assume that they would be out for Kansas as well.

Wow. No games? Wouldn't that be sending the message that riding around with pistols, drugs, and alcohol is ok?
What message would suspending them a game or two send? If they are back playing when the games matter, where's the deterrent? I think you either find a way to make their lives miserable as a punishment, which isn't that hard for a creative coach, or you dismiss them outright. Half measures and "suspensions" don't do much for me.

Guns aren't a bad thing? I agree to an extent but when you file off the SN and have open containers and weed in the car, It is a very bad thing. Its also illegal to be riding around with a loaded weapon in your car without a carrying permit and I highly doubt any of these clowns even know what that is

They need to be held accountable for the drugs. They are all 21 or older, so the alcohol part isn't that big of a deal unless Tatum was drinking and driving. It sounds like the guns were already in the car when they picked it up in Nashville. I do think it was wrong for them to take the car knowing there were guns in it, but I don't see how they could get in any legal trouble just for "knowing." Kids these days are not going to say they won't drive a car or ride in a car because there are guns in it, they would think it makes them sound weak.

The report said they were going 70. I can tell you from personal experience that going 70 on I-40 right before Alcoa just about gets you run over because everyone else is going 75-80. That kinda sounds fishy in itself. I only know of one person getting pulled over there, and that was for going 88 back when it was under construction and the speed limit was 45.

Hmmm...let's see...they knew they had guns in the car, they knew they had weed, they knew they had booze and knowing all of that, they decided to drive in excess of the speed limit. My question is this: How dumb and irresponsible can you prove yourself to be and still get to wear the orange and white. As a fan, someone tell me, please...if Pearl allows them to play, how should I react when these dumb dumbs come out on the floor? Stand and applaud? Boo? What?

I've tried to make that point several times, I absolutely agree. Let me put it another way, if an accident happens or god forbid one of these young MEN shoots somebody or somebody shoots them, what will be the response. If my 17 year old does what these guys did, his car is gone, and the things he likes to do the most are gone. He'll be miserable. The least of his worries will be the legal ramifications. Once he turns 18, I no longer have that. If he's a basketball player at the University of Tennessee I would expect the Coach to take away the things he loves most. If that means he hasn't acted responsibly enough to be at the school, I would expect them to dismiss him. I don't think the Coach wondering if he can win 20 games without him should play a part in the decision at all.

This pretty much spells the end of their UT careers--don't see how this can be whitewashed. Additionally, don't be surprised if Federal felony charges are filed against Tyler for the altered serial numbers. Unlike the KPD, the Feds don't play. Idiots.
Dummer than a bag of hammers:bash: !

This explains so much about you
As does your denial of possible fraud in our Government. Ever heard of the Tuskegee Experiment? Your right , it shows I don't like Koolaid. Now go watch TV and soak in all that "truth".
PPl that take all things at face value get taken advantage of.

Classic case of being pulled over for DWB.

Idiots is harsh language. It's not like they killed ,robbed,or raped anyone.

Bring in Leach as a consultant for punishment?
