Or is the media just ignoring because highlighting it is too damning?

That’s what I’m saying. If they’d do their dam job Trump wins by a landslide. Imagine how the media would be reporting this if all things were equal but it was Donald Junior or Eric instead of Hunter. I just want it investigated fairly. Remember when the Donald was peeing on hoes in hotel rooms, the Russians were colluding with the Rs against Hillary, and Kavanaugh was a serial rapist?

I think it goes like this....

FYI, Nebraska won't go Blue. Only 1 district (Omaha) could go Blue, the rest of the State will be Red.

My predictions on the Swing States

TX, GA, OH, IA - Trump
AZ, NV, FL, NC, NH, WI, MN, PA, MI - Biden

I think having Republicans in charge of registrations and everything in GA and TX will be just enough for DJT to keep those states red. I think Dems controlling everything in Broward and Dade County will be just enough for Biden to squeze out victory in FL.

Out of the maps I created, I think this is most probable.

Yes, I think Newt is a partisan hack that is wrong on this. I think Biden has a decent chance to get to 325. I think if you are a Republican, you hope Trump does well enough to keep the IA, ME, and GA Senate seats and try to stay at 51 Senators. I dont see a realistic path for DJT unless something blows up in the next few days.

I don't see Trump winning NV, AZ, and PA. That likely will doom DJT.

I've been wrong before (see the $67K this week) but I don't think its that close next week. Biden ends up over 300.

Biden stepped in a puddle of oil that puts PA back in play. His handlers have even had him emerge from his basement this week.

Well we know who the media backs...

I think PA is close. Just think you will see Biden win by a point or two. In these super close races, they tend to always go to the party in power in the state.

@VolAllen - Not sure you will like my map. Even if you flip PA, NC, and FL - Biden has 270. (I think a 269-269 tie gets decided by the House of Reps). For purposes of my map, I gave Trump all of NE and Biden all of ME although there's 1 EV vote in each state that's highly contested.

How do you guys feel about how third party voters in 2016 will effect this election?

Jo Jorgensen alienated a lot of Libertarians with her BLM and anti-racism tweets. That coupled with Biden practically adopting Bernie Sanders' platform and the left going radical makes me feel like a lot of those voters are going Trump this go around.

Now I have seen some libertarians say they are voting for Biden. As confusing as that is.

On top of the libertarian vote there were a lot of votes for Evan McMullan in a few states. Lots of votes for Jill Stein for the Green party and others listed as independent. More for independent than for Jill Stein actually.

That third party edge likely favors Trump in a race that looks to be pretty close in a lot of states. I'm wondering if that doesn't tip the scales in his favor.

There could be a good number of those Libertarians and independent that have a healthy amount of TDS so who knows.

And don’t forget Kanye West is actually on some states ballots lol

I think that debate put PA back in play, but I think Biden takes it in a close race for the state. That was a real moment in that debate that I think moved the needle. I thought the first half of the last debate was somewhat close in terms of candidate performance, but Trump had a very strong second half of the debate. Had he shown enough restraint to let Biden speak during the **** show of the first debate, he may have gained more momentum, but he just couldn't help himself.

I think the strict lockdowns and fear of stringing them out even longer hurts Biden’s chances in NC. I gave it to him, but I don’t think it’s a guarantee considering Trump won it last time.

Yep. And Biden was gassed. A 2-hour debate would have ruined him. He spent 5 straight days hunkered down prepping. I bet that he was on some good meds for the debate. Trump too, but Joe’s would have been to help prop up his cognitive ability while Donnie’s were more like caffeine and B-12.

I’m trying to avoid being too political in here, but I do think that it is fair to opine based on my beliefs that Biden isn’t mentally fit to serve 4 years (so Harris is very much in play), the media is biased as ****, and Trump is an unlikeable, arrogant, egotistical New York A-hole. And Trump would be in much better shape if he had any semblance of a filter. So the point here is, who is going to win (I’m nearly convinced it will be Joe Harris) and how does it affect our investments and/or trades? If there’s disagreement with the first sentence then we can duke it out in the Political Forum.

I know my beliefs on Trump differ from most in here but yall are civil to me and I try to reciprocate. I think we are civil enough where we can have these discussions without the name calling that exists in the PF. Our investment accounts have been impacted by politics this week and they will be next week too. We just have different opinions of what those impacts are

We kid but the turnout of the young or AA voter will likely determine who wins. If you get the low swing state turnout like you did in 16, then Trump has a puncher's chance. Any vote for Kanye is a vote that Biden isnt receiving.

Kanye might receive 10k votes in a state that's decided by 3K.

I’m being honest when I say that I think Biden is in a serious mental decline. I hope that I’m mistaken because having Kamala as the POTUS will be very disturbing to me. Some of Biden’s struggles could be from his stuttering condition, which wouldn’t be a problem, but some of the stuff he says is just, you know... c’mon man, that thing. WTF was that hairy leg thing? I’m actually not as concerned that Hunter has apparently been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Surely after the election that family will be watched VERY carefully by both the “media” and the DOJ.

Hopefully @Freak gives us a little latitude in here the week ahead of the election if we keep it civil. I crop dust the politics forum occasionally, but that place is nuts.

On oil (and fossil fuel in general), I don’t think that it is a crazy idea to have a discussion over subsidies. I can’t say that I actually know exactly what they are. But it is a vital, strategically critical industry that is the driving force for our economy. Solar is nice and shouldn’t be ignored, but it’s far from a perfect alternative. Nuclear and geo-thermal should be promoted as well in a fiscally prudent manner. EVs also. But they do have to be charged and dealing with spent batteries is an environmental concern. A mix of all sources seems logical.

Solar can't help with the winter peak demand inversion that is realized around the country until power storage solutions drastically improve. It also causes issues with power plants designed to base load by causing them to cycle due to solar output fluctuations when weather changes rapidly. Natural gas should be a focal point currently. Combined cycles can be built at a fraction of the cost and schedule duration of nuclear. NG is stupid cheap, and we have an almost endless supply.
