All things STOCKS

I drink seltzers too. If you get a craving for soda try a Poppi. They’re about 4g of cane sugar in 12 ounces and they taste great. Lots of flavors like cola, lemon-lime, orange, grape.
I tried them and I am not a fan. Too much of that bitter sugar free taste.

I like seltzers quite a bit by now. Usually I order a seltzer and lime at restaurants. My go to brands/flavors are Watermelon from Waterloo and Mojito from La Croix.

Why not just do Coke Zero? I can't stand the taste of old school diet coke, but the Zeros make it so easy to stop drinking sugar
Yes, the Zero products are very good. I also like Sprite Zero.

Can see diet coke being phased out at some point. All about the shelf space.

I don't like the aftertaste in those either, but they are better than Diet Cokes.

Honestly, my heartburn has reduced dramatically since I stopped drinking cokes, so I just avoid them altogether now. I might get a craving for one every couple of months and give in. But 90% of the time it's seltzer water or just plain tap water.

A name like Carp and you aren't drinking sweet tea, nectar of the Gods, regularly?

I'm losing my faith in humanity.

Yeah, sodas have a ton of acid in them. Most have a pH around 3!

I used to. Then I gained 20 lbs in under a year. Now I get winded walking up 1 flight of stairs. I would like to be able to watch my daughter grow up and (hopefully) chase my grandkids around one day. So seltzer waters it is.

I have a portion of my money with a fiduciary and I have allow them to make the calls every time except once about a year back. They were proposing to sell IBM and buy Disney which I shot down. I never want to invest in a company that takes public positions on political issues that aren’t related to their own business interests. I want companies that are 100% focused on running their business.
Then you'd need to sell about 90% of the stocks in your portfolio then.

I try to limit consumption of anything with artificial coloring because it can trigger migraines for me. I have to avoid all the delicious treats like Skittles, Sweetarts, M&Ms, etc.

Lots of activity. People taking profits. People snatching up the drop. Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see it up or down 10% tomorrow, lol. This stock is so volatile at the moment.

I’m not sure what the tweet is reporting.

From nVIDIA the revenue for the quarter is $30B and the EPS is $0.67:

  • Record quarterly revenue of $30.0 billion, up 15% from Q1 and up 122% from a year ago
  • Record quarterly Data Center revenue of $26.3 billion, up 16% from Q1 and up 154% from a year ago
NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) today reported revenue for the second quarter ended July 28, 2024, of $30.0 billion, up 15% from the previous quarter and up 122% from a year ago.

For the quarter, GAAP earnings per diluted share was $0.67, up 12% from the previous quarter and up 168% from a year ago. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share was $0.68, up 11% from the previous quarter and up 152% from a year ago.

Smashed earnings and the share price takes a dump lol
Bizarre indeed. Bought shares after the split and as it drifted down toward $100. I’m up nicely, but this is just a head scratcher. I’ll see what happens in the morning and likely buy more on the dips. I’m looking 3-5 years out anyway.
