i can assure you that through the negotiated settlement, texas is known and allowed to market itself as ut west of the mississippi. to the east, us. originally, we had the rights and out of the goodness of our heart, gave them half the country.

Not speaking for everybody, but growing up in Mississippi, UT was Tennessee. We called Texas... Texas.

i am well aware of that. i live in virginia and every time i say UT people say "texas?". i was not saying that this was not true, i said i thought it shouldnt be that way. also the ignorant idiots even sometimes confuse the power Ts on my shirts with the hidious burnt orange t.

if we do somehow manage to land brown, jeffery, teague, and kelly (which i dont think will happen, my guess is we land 1 or 2 of 4) that would give us 7 recievers for the class (along with green, rogers and stokes, who i personally think is michigan bound). if by some stretch of the imagination this happens, i'd say 3 would have to be converted. in that case, i'd say teague and rogers would be converted to CBs and green to safety.

ESPN calls Texas UT and calls Tennessee "the people that live in that state, you know, down by North Carolina and Georgia. Com'on, help me out here, they used to have that fat coach now they have that young guy. Isn't it Termusee or something? Tennessee, thats it! Yeah, Tennessee."

Kiffin will put the real UT back on the map. Also to my USC brother, I also recognize South Carolina as the true USC. SC or Southern Cal is the west school. USC was first, just as UT was in Knoxville before Texas was even a state.

Texas has tried to steal so many things from us, from buying the interlocking U-T logo from us, to now using a form of a bold "T" on apparel. Seems that they just try to steal whatever we do once it becomes popular.
